KCET 2021 Exam Pattern

Karnataka Examination Authority has released the KCET exam pattern 2021. Candidates should go through the KCET 2021 exam pattern thoroughly prior to starting the preparation for the exam. They will get an idea about the type of questions being asked in the question paper and the distribution of marks for the same. Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will organize the KCET 2021. The KCET exam pattern 2021 for the same has been designed by the conducting authority. The Karnataka CET 2021 examination will be held in two days, in four sessions. It shall cover four subjects. The first day will be Biology and Mathematics in two sessions and the next day will be Physics and Chemistry in two sessions. 

Each KCET 2021 paper will be for 60 marks. Questions will be of the objective type under KCET 2021. Candidates will score 1 mark for every correct answer. No negative marking is applicable for KCET Exam 2021. The questions are based on the KCET 2021 syllabus. A replica of the Optical Mark Reader sheet will be given to candidates, to marks the answer to the questions. A sample of OMR sheet will be put up on the KEA website, 'www.kea.kar.nic.in.' KCET exam pattern 2021 is discussed in detail, in the section below.

KCET Exam Pattern 2021 Overview

The KCET 2021 exam pattern is tabulated below. The exam authority will conduct the exam in three different sessions in two days. On the first day, Mathematics will be conducted and on the second day, Physics and Chemistry will be conducted.

Is the pattern of COMEDK and KCET same?

Although the exam pattern of COMEDK and KCET is almost the same, i.e. candidates have to answer 60 questions in 70 minutes, the paper difficulty level for both the exams differs from each other. However, the rules for the exam and the difficulty level is a bit more as compared with COMEDK. Candidates can check the KCET exam pattern 2021 and COMEDK exam pattern individually to get proper details about these two exams.

KCET Marks Distribution

KCET Syllabus 2021

KEA releases the syllabus of KCET entrance exam. Aspirants are required to go through the entire syllabus of KCET for learning the concepts and better understanding of the topics. One can prepare for the exam well if they are aware of the KCET exam pattern 2021 and the syllabus of the exam. The questions that are asked in the KCET entrance exam are mostly based on first and second PUC syllabus which is prescribed by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State. Karnataka CET (KCET) Exam Pattern 2017 is:

  • KCET 2017 exam pattern includes a number of questions, type of questions, marking scheme, language and other information for appearing candidates. Check below test pattern of KCET 2017 including test subjects, modalities and marking scheme -

  • KCET 2017 will be conducted separately for Physics, Chemistry, Biology and Mathematics on two alternate days

  • Each section of KCET 2017 carries 60 marks

  • KCET 2017 question paper comprises objective type questions of one mark each

  • Each subject paper of KCET 2017 is allotted 80 minutes time duration and the test is scheduled to be conducted in two shifts.
