What is ATMA?

ATMA Exam is a management entrance test, the full form of ATMA is Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) Test for Management Admissions. The next exam is conducted on July 22, 2019.

ATMA Exam

Candidates can write ATMA 2019 and can take admissions into various postgraduate administration programs. Candidates can get admissions at Post Graduation level in Government/ University/ Private Aided/ Private Un-Aided MBA schools in India through ATMA 2019.

Frequency: AIMS conducts this exam 4-5 times a year in the months of February, May, June, July and December.

Mode: AIMS conducts this exam only as online (computer-based) examination.

Courses offered through ATMA: Candidates can take this to get into various administrative courses at Post Graduation Level. These courses include MBA, PGDM, PGDMA, MCM, MCA, MMS among others.

Difficulty level: AIMS conducts ATMA to assess and test the candidate’s skills. AIMS test 4 skills of candidates and they are comprehension skills, verbal reasoning capabilities, and numerical reasoning capabilities. ATMA 2019 Exam Dates

Candidates need to know ATMA exam date and other important dates in order to plan ahead and prepare for the exam. Important dates and details are:

  • Application dates: The Application form is already available on the official website. Candidate can download it from June 24, 2019. The last date to submit the application form is July 22, 2019.
  • Admit Card Date: Candidates can download the admit card for the ATMA July 2019 from July 25, 2019.
  • Result Date: AIMS will announce results on August 2, 2019 on the official website. This result is for ATMA July 2019 exam.

ATMA 2019 Eligibility

Candidates should know about eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. AIIMS sets the Eligibility Criteria, these criteria are:

  • Nationality: Only Indian candidates can apply for ATMA 2019.
  • Qualification: Candidates should have a bachelors degree in any discipline and should have completed their bachelors in a recognised university/institute. 
  • Final year students: Students in their final year of graduation are also eligible
  • CA candidates: Candidates who have completed CA can also apply for this exam.
  • Aggregate or Percentage: Students should have a minimum score of 50% in the bachelor degree

ATMA 2019 Syllabus

AIMS has divided the question paper into 6 sections. There are three major sections in ATMA July 2019. Each section has two parts. Therefore this exam has six section test.

Each of the six sections will have 30 questions in MCQ format. The order of the sections would not necessarily remain the same. The sequence may change from exam to exam.

How to prepare for ATMA Exam?

ATMA is relatively easier than CAT. But the number of questions are more than CAT. One can use this to his/her advantage. So, let's discuss about the preparation for ATMA.

Build on your concepts.

The basic concepts of Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation will remain same throughout. So, to effectively prepare for the questions, you should develop a strong basic understanding of each and every type of question. It will help you to solve any question in 1-2 minutes or even seconds.

Practice with clocking your speed.

Since, the no. of questions are very high. You should always give a designated amount of time to each question. Practice while keeping a stopwatch alongside. Focus on trying to solve the arithmetical calculations in your mind. This will save a lot of time. Always devote your time to the easier questions or the questions that you can do. Save your time for the ones that are difficult and time consuming.

Don't attempt the doubtful ones.

You will be lured by the tricky questions. Be careful. If you don't know the question well, don't attempt it. There are chances that you will lose marks. Since a lot of questions will be there, the wrong ones will make your overall score very less. Hence, prepare well for the section you know the best and focus less on doubtful sections.

How to apply for ATMA Exam?

You can apply for ATMA 2019 in Online mode on the official website. Application form will be available from June 24, 2019 to July 22, 2019. Brief steps to fill the application form are:

  • The application process is successful only after you have paid the fee.

ATMA 2019 Exam Pattern

ATMA July 2019 will be a Computer-based online test. AIMS conducts this exam in a single section and the duration of this session is 3 hours. AIMS prepares the merit list for this just like CMAT, XAT and SNAP.

Negative Marking: There will be negative marking in this exam. 0.25 Mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. So candidates have to be careful before answering any questions.

How to download ATMA Admit Card?

Hall ticket will be released on the official website and will be available to download from July 25, 2019. You have to visit the official website and go to admit card portal. Then enter your credentials and download your ATMA 2019 Admit card. Take a print out in an A4 size sheet.

ATMA 2019 Result

AIMS will release results for ATMA July Exam on August 2, 2019 and on their official website. For exams which is carried out in other months, AIMS will release results after the exam. Result Date will be available on the official site.

ATMA 2019 Counselling

AIMS will release the counselling date on their official website. But only after the results are released. Students should update themselves about counselling date by checking the official website regularly.

You will be allotted seats in one of the five institutions through ATMA Counselling, which you had selected during registration. Seat allotment will depend on your rank and College cutoffs.
