What is ATMA?
ATMA Exam is a management entrance test, the full form of ATMA is Association of Indian Management Schools (AIMS) Test for Management Admissions. The next exam is conducted on February 9, 2020.
Candidates can write ATMA 2020 and can take admissions into various postgraduate administration programs. Candidates can get admissions at Post Graduation level in Government/ University/ Private Aided/ Private Un-Aided MBA schools in India through ATMA 2020.
Frequency: AIMS conducts this exam 4-5 times a year in the months of February, May, June, July and December.
Mode: AIMS conducts this exam only as online (computer-based) examination.
Courses offered through ATMA: Candidates can take this to get into various administrative courses at Post Graduation Level. These courses include MBA, PGDM, PGDMA, MCM, MCA, MMS among others.
Difficulty level: AIMS conducts ATMA to assess and test the candidate’s skills. Candidates need to know exam date and other ATMA important dates in order to plan ahead and prepare for the exam. Important dates and details are:
- Application dates: The Application form will be available on the official website. Candidates can fill it from November 18, 2019. The last date to submit the application form is February 3, 2020. But the last date of fee payment is February 1, 2020.
- Admit Card Date: Candidates can download the admit card for the ATMA 2020 from February 5, 2020.

AIMS has divided the question paper into 6 sections. There are three major sections in the ATMA Exam generally. Each section has two parts.
Each of the six sections will have 30 questions in MCQ format. The order of the sections would not necessarily remain the same. The sequence may change from exam to exam.

Candidates should know about eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. AIIMS sets the Eligibility Criteria, these criteria are:
- Nationality: Only Indian candidates can apply for ATMA 2020.
- Qualification: Candidates should have a bachelor's degree in any discipline and should have completed their bachelors in a recognised university/institute.
- Final year students: Students in their final year of graduation are also eligible to attempt ATMA.
- CA candidates: Candidates who have completed CA can also apply for this exam.

How to prepare for ATMA Exam?
ATMA is relatively easier than CAT. But the number of questions are more than CAT. One can use this to his/her advantage. So, let's discuss about the preparation for ATMA.
Build on your concepts.
The basic concepts of Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation will remain same throughout. So, to effectively prepare for the questions, you should develop a strong basic understanding of each and every type of question. It will help you to solve any question in 1-2 minutes or even seconds.
Practice with clocking your speed.
Since, the no. of questions are very high. You should always give a designated amount of time to each question. Practice while keeping a stopwatch alongside. Focus on trying to solve the arithmetical calculations in your mind. This will save a lot of time. Always devote your time to the easier questions or the questions that you can do. Save your time for the ones that are difficult and time consuming.
Don't attempt the doubtful ones.
You will be lured by the tricky questions. Be careful. If you don't know the question well, don't attempt it. There are chances that you will lose marks. Since a lot of questions will be there, the wrong ones will make your overall score very less. Hence, prepare well for the section you know the best and focus less on doubtful sections.

How to apply for ATMA Exam?
You can apply for ATMA 2020 in online mode on the official website. Application form will be available from November 18, 2019 to February 3, 2020. The registration window for ATMA Febraury exam will be opened in November. You can follow these brief steps to fill the application form:

ATMA 2020 Exam Pattern
ATMA 2020 will be a computer-based online test. The duration of this session is 3 hours. AIMS prepares the merit list for this just like CMAT, XAT and SNAP.
Negative Marking: There will be negative marking in this exam. 0.25 Mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer. So candidates have to be careful before answering any question.

How to download ATMA Admit Card?
Hall ticket will be released on the official website and will be available to download from February 5, 2020. You have to visit the official website and go to admit card portal. Then enter your credentials and download your ATMA 2020 Admit Card. Take a print out in an A4 size sheet.
