How to prepare for ATMA 2021?

ATMA is relatively easier than CAT. But the number of questions is more than CAT. It is very important for the candidates to strategize their plans before attempting to answer the questions in the ATMA 2021 Examination. Making plans and preparing accordingly can help them efficiently perform in the examination. Strategizing and planning will also help the candidates to be aware of how the exam will be conducted and will have an overview of the question paper. One can use this to his/her advantage. So, let's discuss the preparation for ATMA.

Must have conceptual knowledge

The basic concepts of Quantitative Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation will remain the same throughout. So, to effectively prepare for the questions, you should develop a strong basic understanding of each and every type of question. It will help you to solve any question in 1-2 minutes or even seconds. It is also important to make sure that you know the concepts according to the distribution of questions in the question paper. Topic-wise or concept-wise preparation will also help the candidates to understand the difficulty of the topics or sections and will be able to categorize and study them based on its importance and difficulty. This way they can concentrate on the most important or the most difficult ones at first, and then move onto the rest of the questions.

Practice with clocking the speed

Since the number of questions is very high. Candidate should always give a designated amount of time to each question. Practice while keeping a stopwatch alongside. Focus on trying to solve the arithmetical calculations in your mind. This will save a lot of time. Always devote your time to the easier questions or the questions that you can do. Save your time for the ones that are difficult and time-consuming. Practising a lot of question papers can enhance your time efficiency and can help in reducing the time consumption at the time of the examination.

Don't attempt the doubtful ones

The candidate will be lured by the tricky questions. Be careful. If you don't know the question well, don't attempt it. There are chances that you will lose marks. Since a lot of questions will be there, the wrong ones will make your overall score very less. Hence, prepare well for the section you know the best and focus less on doubtful sections. It is better to thus leave the doubtful questions and move on to the next, and later come back and attend the questions after completely attending others.

Mock Tests

It is very important that the candidates practise by attending the mock tests regularly and make sure to attend these tests within the allotted time of the actual exam. This way they will be able to get an insight of how the exam is conducted and will be able to understand the distribution of questions and the sections in the question paper. Adding to all of this, candidates will also be able to complete the exam without leaving any question unattended, and time efficiency will also be achieved.
