What After MAT Results 2024?

The Management Aptitude Test (MAT), conducted by the All India Management Association (AIMA) is national-level entrance examination for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes offered by the premier Mandatory and Business Institutes across India. 

After the results of MAT exam are declared, the candidates must proceed further based on their MAT score. The candidates can have a look at the following and decide what after MAT result they should go ahead with.

1. Study Selection Policy for Applied Colleges

Candidates are required to select 5 colleges of their choice during the MAT application procedure. The conducting authority sends the MAT scorecard of the candidates to the colleges the candidates had chosen.

After the declaration of MAT results, the candidates must study the selection policies of the colleges to know their selection criteria and prepare for the same. 

2. Apply for Other Colleges

If the MAT scores of the candidates do not qualify the cutoff requirements of the selected colleges they have chosen in the application or if the candidates want to apply for additional colleges other than the 5 colleges they have chosen
then they should immediately apply for the other colleges after the MAT results are declared.

3. Prepare for WAT/ GD/ PI

The most important answer to the question of ‘what after MAT result?’ is to ‘prepare for WAT/ GD and PI’. After the application process and study of selection criteria, the candidates should prepare for the other admission rounds.

The admission process of all the participating institutions of MAT includes either Group Discussion (GD) or Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds.

Thus, after the MAT results, candidates must prepare diligently for these rounds to secure admissions to their desired colleges. 

4. Reappear for Other MAT Sessions

The MAT examination is usually conducted across 4 sessions a year (in February, May, September, and December).

If the candidates are not satisfied with their MAT scores of one session, they can prepare well and apply for the forthcoming MAT sessions as well. 

5. Appear for Other MBA/ Management Exams

After the announcement of MAT results, the candidates who want to improve their scores and thereby increase their chances of admission to their desired colleges can apply for other MBA entrance examinations.
