Karnataka PGCET Eligibility 2019

  • Authority: The conducting authority for Karnataka PGCET is Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).

  • Before filling out the Application Form for Karnataka PGCET 2019 candidates are advised to read all compulsory norms.

  • Termination: Their Application Form will be rejected by the conducting authority if the candidates do not fulfil the Karnataka PGCET 2019 Eligibility.

  • The details Karnataka PGCET 2019 Eligibility criteria for different courses are given below.

Karnataka PGCET 2019 Eligibility for full-time and part-time M.Tech/ M.Arch Courses

  • Qualifications: Candidates should have a three-year[+] graduate degree from a recognized government university or institution after completion of 10+2 or diploma (3-year course), in architecture/engineering stream., with at least      

    • 45% for SC/ST and OBC candidates 

    • 50% marks general candidates

  • Experience: The total work experience must be at least 3 years as on 31st July 2019 to satisfy eligibility criteria. The candidate must be employed with an organization not farther than 40 kilometres from the college campus wherein he/she seeks admission. This is only for those who apply for part-time course.

  • Karnataka PGCET 2019 Eligibility criteria specify that only Karnataka candidates are eligible for reservation.

Karnataka PGCET Eligibility 2019 for full-time MBA Courses

  • Qualifications: Candidates must have a three-year graduate[+] degree from a recognized government university or institution after completion of 10+2, in any stream, with at least

    • 50% marks for General candidates

    • 45% marks for SC/ST and OBC candidates 

  • Karnataka PGCET 2019 Eligibility criteria specify that only Karnataka candidates are eligible for reservation.
  • Applicants are not allowed to round off their aggregate.


Karnataka PGCET 2019 Eligibility for part-time MBA Courses

  • Qualifications: Candidates must have a three-year graduate degree from a recognized government university or institution after completion of 10+2, in any stream, with at least

    • 50% marks for General candidates

    • 45% marks for SC/ST and OBC candidates

  • Karnataka PGCET 2019 Eligibility criteria specify that only Karnataka candidates are eligible for reservation.
  • Locality: The total work experience must be at least 3 years as on 31st July 2019 to satisfy eligibility criteria and the candidate must be employed with an organization not farther than 40 kilometres from the college campus wherein he/she seeks admission. 


Karnataka PGCET Eligibility 2019 for MCA Courses (Both full time and part time)

  • Qualifications: Candidates must have a three-year graduate degree from a recognized government university or institution with at least,

    • 50% marks for General candidates and

    • 45% marks for SC/ST and OBC candidates.

  • Karnataka PGCET 2019 Eligibility criteria specify that only Karnataka candidates are eligible for reservation.
  • To satisfy eligibility criteria, the candidate must have compulsorily studied Maths/ Stats/ Computer Science/ Computer Applications/ Business Maths, Computer Programming/ Business Statistics as one of his/ her optional subjects. 


Karnataka PGCET 2019 Eligibility: Gate Score

  • Candidates can Apply to Karnataka PGCET 2019 with their GATE Score.

  • Gate Score should be valid and relevant to the course you are applying for.

  • If the Gate Score of the candidate is above qualifying marks then the candidate will be eligible to apply for ME/M.Tech courses


Karnataka PGCET Eligibility 2019 Guidelines for MBA and MCA

For candidates to know, whether they are eligible for MCA and MBA, they should read Karnataka PGCET 2019 Eligibility criteria for MBA and MCA which is given below:

  • The candidate must have studied and passed in one or more Government recognized educational or Government institutions located in the State of Karnataka for at least SEVEN academic years (from class 1 to Qualifying Examination).

  • This 7 years should be either continuous or in a broken period as on 1st July 2019 in which the Entrance Test is held.

  • The candidate must have appeared and passed either SSLC / 10th standard or 2nd PUC / 12th standard examination from a Government recognized institutions located in Karnataka State.

  • The candidate must have studied and passed the qualifying examination within the State of Karnataka from an Educational Institution run or recognized by the State Government.

  • Either of the candidates’ parents (mother or father) should have studied in Government recognized institutions in Karnataka for a minimum period of 7 years.

  • Daughter or son of ex-servicemen who at the time of joining the defence service had declared that a place in Karnataka as his hometown, proof of such domicile should be obtained and produced from the “Deputy Director, Department of Sainik Welfare and Resettlement".

  • Further, the candidate must have passed the Q.E. from a University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India.


Eligibility Guidelines for ME/ M.Tech

For candidates to know, whether they are eligible for ME and M.Tech, they should read Karnataka PGCET 2019 Eligibility criteria for ME and M.Tech which is given below:

  • The candidate must have studied and passed in one or more Government recognized educational or Government institutions located in the State of Karnataka for at least SEVEN academic years (from class 1 to Qualifying Examination).

Completed a three-year graduate degree after completion of 10+2, in any stream or should have passed any equivalent examination. The degree will have to be recognized by the state authority. The marks required at graduation level for all candidates is 50% to satisfy eligibility criteria.

The eligibility criteria for the full-time MBA course is as follows: -

  • Candidates should have completed a three-year graduate degree after completion of 10+2, in any stream.
  • The degree has to be recognized by the state authority.
  • The minimum marks required at graduation level for all candidates is 50 per cent to satisfy eligibilty criteria.
  • For candidates of scheduled caste, scheduled tribe, other backward classes and physically handicapped categories; the requisite marks is set at 45 per cent to satisfy eligibilty criteria.
