Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology was established in the year 2001 and named after Meenakshi Hegde, wife of the Founder of Nitte Education Trust Justice K.S. Hegde. NMIT is affiliated to VTU Belagavi, Recognised by UGC in the year 2007 itself and also is accredited with NBA (Tier-1) and NAAC ‘A+’ Grade and Platinum Grade by AICTE-CII.

The institute ranked 151-200 in India among technical institutions, and 101-150 under the Innovation ranking by the NIRF, Ministry of Education, Government of India in the year 2023.

BE Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate must have passed 10+2 with a minimum 45% aggregate and qualify for CET/ COMED-K.
• The candidates belonging to Karnataka SC/ST/OBC must have a minimum 40% aggregate in optional subjects.

M.Tech Eligibility Criteria

• The candidate should have a bachelor's degree and qualify for GATE.

PhD Eligibility Criteria 

• The candidate should have a Masters degree from a recognized University with a minimum 45% aggregate.
• Candidates must have a valid score in VTU-ETR/UGC-CSIR NET/ SLET / GATE/ CAT/M.Phil.
