- Do not wear closed sweaters or pullovers. Wear cardigans to the exam hall.

- Wear open-toed footwear, like chappals or sandals. Otherwise, students may be asked to remove their shoes before the exam.
- Avoid complicated hairstyles with braids, clips or colourful/bright clutches.

XAT authorities employ some basic guidelines that Candidates must follow on the exam day. Candidates must follow the instructions listed below for a confident start to the XAT exam day:
- Students are advised to reach the XAT exam centre a minimum of 1 hour before exam commencement.
- The candidate’s entry is closed after the examination commences.
- The essential documents/articles mentioned above must be carried out for a smooth exam experience.
- Candidates are advised to read the exam instructions on the admit card before starting the exam.
- Regardless of whether students have finished the exam, they may only leave once the exam has ended.
- The XAT question paper requires students to answer 100 MCQs for 4 sections. Students must select the most appropriate answer out of 4 options.
- Do not argue with or challenge the XAT exam authorities in case of disagreements.
- Students are mandated to answer every question in the XAT exam. Correct responses are awarded 1 mark, while incorrect answers are given a 0.25 mark deduction.
