TNEA 2025 Counselling Procedure

The counselling session is organised in online mode. You are assigned time according to the TNEA 2025 rank list. TNEA counselling login credentials are used while registering for the counselling. The important counselling procedures are given below:

TNEA Counselling 2025 Registration

• Students must first register and upload all needed certifications.
• After that, pay the registration costs online through the Tamil Nadu Engineering Admission portal to finish the registration procedure.
• TFC will also verify the pupils' uploaded documents. SDAT will conduct in-person verification of sports aspirants' uploaded documentation.
• After verification, the candidates' rank list will be made available on the TNEA web portal.
• Following that, pupils will be given a week to resolve any issues with the public rank list. Furthermore, issues will be resolved in person, and you should contact the Office of the Secretary, TNEA, Directorate of Technical Education, or any TFCs.

1. Publication of Rank List: The counselling rank list of TNEA 2025 will be released by the conducting body tentatively on Jul 2025. If you are eligible, you will receive the counselling call letter in 2025.

TNEA 2025 Counselling Fees: You must pay the fees for counselling while applying for the entrance exam. The fees can be paid through demand draft/ debit/ credit card/ bank transfer. The counselling fees are given below.

2. Choice Filling: TNEA 2025 admission candidates must fill in their choice of courses and colleges during the application. You can choose any number of options and lock in their choices before the due date. The guidelines for doing so are given below.

• Verify the options and ensure they are in the correct order before locking them.
• The choice list can be rearranged, and changes can be made several times through the portal.
• Once the choices are locked, you will be sent a PDF document of their choices.
• The system will automatically lock the choices if you fail to lock them by 5 pm.

3. TNEA Academic Counselling Seat Vacancy: After the choices are locked, you will be allotted seats according to their eligibility. You can either accept or decline the allotment.

4. Final Allotment: You have to reach the venue on time after the final allotment and pay the remaining fees. If you cannot reach time, the seat allotment will be cancelled, and participants can claim a refund.

Documents Required for TNEA 2025 Counselling

You are required to provide certain documents during the counselling session. The counselling committee will check the credibility and validity of the documents and ensure you are eligible. The list of documents is given below.

• 10th Mark Sheet
• HSC First year (+1) Mark Sheet
• HSC Second year (+2) / Equivalent Mark Sheet
• HSC Hall Ticket
• Transfer Certificate
• ST, SC, SCA, MBC & DNC, BC and BCM Permanent Community Certificate (either Permanent Card or Electronic Form / Digitally Signed e-Certificate)
• Nativity Certificate (only in Electronic Form / Digitally Signed e-Certificate) (if Applicable)
• Income Certificate (if Applicable)
• First Graduate Certificate (only in Electronic Form / Digitally Signed e-Certificate)
• Sri Lankan Tamil Refugee Certificate (if Applicable).

TNEA Rank List 2025

DoTE will make the TNEA rank list 2025 available on the official website, tneaonline.org. Your qualifying exam scores determine the TNEA rank list. 200 was the base on which the marks obtained were tallied (100 for mathematics and 100 for physics and chemistry combined). TNEA 2025 rank list will be created by the authorities using a normalisation technique.

TNEA Random Number 2025

TNEA 2025 random number will be published by the government. If all other options for breaking a tie between two or more candidates are exhausted, the random number generator (TNEA-2025) is a procedure to be used. Applicants can find out their TNEA random number assignment by visiting the official website.

Normalising Marks

The normalisation method means that the marks scored by you from different yet relevant boards of authority will be consolidated and made equal to the scores in the Tamil Nadu Board of Authority. A few points to help you understand the method are given below.

• For instance, if the highest score on the Tamil Nadu board by you in Chemistry is 100 and the highest score on the same subject from a different board is 90, then the highest score for both will be 100.
• The factors affecting the selection are you. For example, they have a higher percentage in Chemistry and Physics, the fourth optional subject, date of birth (older students will be given preference), and the random number assigned to them.

TNEA 2025 Reservation

TNEA 2025 Admission Process

You must attend the TNEA admission process after going through the online counselling procedure. The participants must bring all the necessary documents with them during the admission process, and they will be terminated if they fail to provide any of the documents.

Admission In Vocational Stream

Admissions in the vocational stream have 100 seats in category 1, and 4% of seats in the second category are kept away for these courses. You must have a minimum mark of 200 to get admission to vocational courses.

In the 3% of seats reserved for vocational courses, 1% will be kept away from differently-abled persons, 1% will be for Orthopedically abled persons, 1% for the hearing impaired and 1% for the visually impaired.

Admission to Sandwich Courses

Sandwich courses are separate section courses offered by the TNEA 2025. The courses available in various courses like Mechanical Engineering, and Production Engineering are offered at PSG College of Technology and Electrical and Electronics Engineering under a self-financing scheme.

This is a five-year course, where practical learning is in the daytime and classwork is after the evening. There is an additional fee for the practical training.

TNEA 2025 Cut Off
