Coimbatore Institute of Technology [CIT] was established in the year 1956. The V. Rangaswamy Educational Trust has rendered invaluable service to society by establishing the CIT Sandwich Polytechnic College in 1961, Coimbatore Institute of Technology is accredited with an ‘A’ grade by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). CIT Coimbatore is also recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC) and is affiliated to Anna University.

• Selection is based on the TNEA system conducted by Tamil Nadu Government.

For M.Tech

• The selection is based on the marks obtained in TANCET conducted by Anna University.

For MCA

• A recognized Bachelor's degree with a minimum 3-year duration and a minimum 50% (45% reserved category) score in qualifying examinations is required.

For MSc

•  A qualifying score in HSC or equivalent with a 75% mark or above in Maths, Physics, Computer Science and Chemistry.
