It is affiliated with Anna University. As per NIRF Ranking, St. Joseph's College of Engineering is ranked among the top 200 institutions of India. The college is accredited by NBA and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education [AICTE]. St. Joseph’s College of Engineering is not only recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization by DSIR and DST but also its 5 centers have been recognized as research centers. 40 faculties have been recognized as research supervisors by Anna University. St. Joseph's College of Engineering is open for admissions in UG and PG courses like B.Tech, M.Tech, etc. There are certain criteria that the candidate must fulfill to take admission to this college which is as follows:

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 exams from a recognized board.
• Admission is taken based on entrance exam scores.
• Students have to visit the official website of the college and then fill a Google form which is an application form with all the necessary details.
• After filling in the details, they have to submit it. The college will revert in some days.
• The other way is to visit Anna University's official website and fill the form by paying a certain amount of the application fee.
• The amount of application fee can be paid either by cash or by demand draft drawn on any Nationalised Bank.

The campus of St. Joseph’s College of Engineering contains a central library that has over 1,79,142 books, has fast internet facilities, classroom facilities, and conference halls. SJCE Hostel Details

St. Joseph’s college provides seperate hostel facilities for boys and girls. Two blocks are provided for the boys. The boys hostel is of 2,18,000 sq.ft and has 342 rooms spread over three floors and accommodates about 1368 students. In girls hostel, two blocks are provided for girls. The girls hostel is of 1,75,000 sq.ft and has 250 rooms spread over three floors and accommodates about 1000 students.

St. Joseph's College of Engineering has a very beautiful campus spread over an area of 14,91,000 square feet. The campus is equipped with all necessary equipment to ensure maximum participation of students in Co-curricular and Extracurricular activities. To ensure good health and fitness, the college has two sophisticated gyms for boys and girls. The campus has a library and a book bank. It also has 223 classrooms out of which 141 are Engineering and 82 are tech classrooms. There are 5 engineering and 6 tech halls as well.
