TNEA Application Form 2024: Fees, Documents

TNEA application form 2024 will be released soon on the official website. The admission for B.Tech and B.E programs will declared based on TN class 12 results. TNEA 2024 admission procedure will be based on the aggregate marks obtained by the candidate in class 12.

How to Fill TNEA 2024 Application Form?

Registration for TNEA 2024 can be done online. Candidates must fill out the form online and upload all the required documents, and pay the application fee before the last date. The application process for TNEA 2024 involves the following.

TNEA 2022 Application Procedure

Step 1: Registration

The first step in the registration process for TNEA is online registration. Candidates must visit the official website to complete the registration process. Once they have entered the official website, they must click on the 'New User Registration' link. 

Details to be Filled in for New User Registration

  • Name of the Candidate (As per class 10 Mark Sheet)
  • Class 12 Registration Number
  • Email ID/ User ID
  • Mobile Number
  • Date of Birth 
  • Qualifying Exam Details
  • Create a Password.

Step 2: Generation of OTP

After submitting all the details mentioned in the first step, the candidates will receive an OTP (One-Time Password) via SMS on their mobile or their email. Only after entering the OTP, confirmation of the details of the candidate will be done.

Step 3: Login and Form Filling

Candidates must log in again with the credentials they created while registering in the first step, i.e., using their login ID (email) and password. The application form for TNEA 2024 will appear on the screen. The candidates must enter all the details carefully.

Step 4: Special Reservation Information 

In this step, candidates must fill in the information given below. To choose each of these categories, the candidate must pay INR 100.

  • Sports Certificates of District/ Divisional/ State/ National/ International
  • Eminent Sports Person 
  • Ex-Serviceman 
  • Differently Abled Person (PwD)
  • Preferred Certificate Verification Centre (TFC) for the categories mentioned above.

Step 5: Scholarship Information

This step requires candidates to enter information to receive scholarships based on the following.

  • Parent Occupation 
  • Parent Annual Income 
  • First Graduate Tuition Fee Concessio
  • Already First graduate Tuition Fee Concession Availed 
  • AICTE Tuition Fee Waiver
  • Post Matric Scholarship (SC/ SCA/ ST or SC/ SCA Converted Christian).

Step 6: School Study Information

The next stage in the application process is that the candidates need to fill in the School of Study (from class 8 to 12) information and the civic status of the school as given below.

  • Year of Passing
  • Name of School
  • District of the School
  • State.

Step 7: Academic Information

In this stage, the candidates will have to fill in the academic information such as the following.

  • Qualifying Examination
  • Name of the Board (HSC/ Any Other Board)
  • HSC Group (Academic/ Vocational)
  • Marks Obtained in Class 12
  • Class 12th Registration Number
  • Qualified Year
  • Group Code. 

Step 8: Additional Information

In this step, candidates must fill in more additional information mentioned below.

  • Center for Certificate Verification (TFC)
  • Mother Tongue
  • Medium of Instruction
  • Parent Occupation
  • Preference for Choice Entry at TFC (Yes/ No)
  • Civil Native
  • Civil School
  • Native District.

Step 9: Edit and Save Application 

Once the candidate has filled in all the information mentioned above in each step, a preview of the whole application will appear on the screen. The candidates must take a look at this and check if there are any errors to rectify. If all the information is correct, the candidates can click on the ‘Submit Application' button. The candidates will receive a confirmation pop-up. Click on ‘Ok.’ The applicants must check the details on the application form thoroughly before proceeding with the submission.

Step 10: TNEA Application Fee Payment

The last step in TNEA 2024 application form-filling process is to pay the application fee of INR 500. Still, it may vary if the candidates have chosen extra reservation categories in step 4. Candidates can pay the application fee through the following three ways. 

  • Payment Gateway (IOB)
  • Payment Gateway (Indian Bank)
  • Payment Gateway (Option 3 - Skip)

Candidates choosing any one among the first two options must pay the application fee digitally, i.e., using a credit card/ debit card/ internet banking facility. Candidates choosing option 3 must pay the registration fee at the Facilitation Centre. The candidates will receive a confirmation message after paying the registration fee.

TNEA Application Fee 2024

TNEA application fees for the examination were INR 500 for the general category. TNEA application fees for candidates who belong to SC/ ST/ SCA category is INR 250. The applicant can pay the fees through net banking, debit card, credit card, or Demand Draft. The DD will be accepted only at TNEA Facilitation Centres (TFC) and should be drawn in favor of 'The Secretary, TNEA' payable at Chennai.

Important Documents Required for TNEA 2024 Application

Candidate who has covered all TNEA eligibility criteria are required to attach photocopies of the following documents.

  • Class 10 Mark Sheet
  • Class 12 Mark Sheet
  • Transfer Certificate Issued by the School
  • Demand Draft (if applicable)
  • Permanent Community Certificate Card for candidates belonging to ST, SC, SCA, MBC & DNC, BC, and BCM.
  • Class XII Admit Card
  • Nativity Certificate, if applicable (in electronic form/ digitally signed e-Certificate).
  • First Graduate Certificate and First Graduate Joint Declaration (if applicable)
  • Sri Lankan Tamil Refugee Certificate (if applicable)
  • Relevant Certificates for Children of Ex-Serviceman / Freedom Fighters / Differently Abled Persons and Eminent Sports Persons.
