The conducting body has detailed the COMEDK eligibility criteria for Engineering programs on the official website. Candidates interested in applying for Engineering courses must be fully aware of the COMEDK exam eligibility criteria. The COMEDK eligibility criteria 2024 Btech and BE courses are outlined below.

  • Candidates must have passed the second PUC or 10+2 exam from a recognized board.
  • Candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and English as compulsory subjects in the last two years of study.
  • The general category must have at least a 45% aggregate score to be eligible for COMEDK. Reserved category candidates have a relaxation of 5% and must have 40% to be eligible.
  • Candidates must pass each subject separately. Physics and Mathematics are compulsory subjects. 
  • Candidates can have any subject, from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Computer Science, or Electronics.

COMEDK Eligibility Criteria 2024: Architectural Programs

COMEDK does not conduct a separate entrance examination for Architecture. Candidates who have appeared for the NATA conducted by the Council of Architecture are the only candidates who meet the eligibility for COMEDK 2024 counselling process. 

The COMEDK UGET eligibility criteria for candidates interested in applying for the COMEDK architecture counselling process are as follows:

  • Interested candidates must have a valid NATA score.
  • Candidates must have passed the 10+2 exam with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry as compulsory subjects.
  • Candidates with a 10+3 Diploma with Mathematics can also apply for the exam.
  • Candidates must have at least 50% aggregate marks in the qualifying examination. 
  • Reserved category candidates such as SC, ST, and OBC categories are offered a 5% relaxation in the aggregate score.

COMEDK Reservation Policy 2024

COMEDK does not follow any reservation policy. However, it sorts candidates into different categories based on their backgrounds. 

These categories include General Merit or SC/ST, OBC (for Karnataka residents only), candidates from Christian/Tulu minority communities, and those from the Hyderabad-Karnataka (HK) region.

To be eligible for reservation, the candidate must provide valid documents. Please refer to the tables below for further details on the different categories.

Minority/Reservation Available through COMEDK

  • Tulu Minority Seats: Tulu minority seats are available in Tulu minority colleges only. Candidates must have proof of Tulu Minority status issued by the School Head/School Principal.
  • Hyderabad-Karnataka Region: The HKR COMEDK seats are available in all COMEDK institutions. Such candidates must have Hyderabad-Karnataka Region certificate.
  • Christian Minority Seats: Christian minority seats are available for Karnataka and non-Karnataka candidates in Christian minority colleges. Candidates with Christian minority proof issues by the Head of Schools or the Principal are eligible for these seats.
