MHT CET 2020 Exam Pattern Highlights:

  • Mode: The Examination of MHT CET 2020 is pen-paper based, If you are applying for the examination you will have to take up the exam offline at your allotted exam centre.

  • Question Paper Division: A total of 50 questions out of 250 will now be from the syllabus of Class 11.

  • Marks Allotment: Each subject will carry 50 marks, except mathematics, which will carry 100 marks.

  • Papers: The Candidates are tested via three papers according to their stream. 

  • Engineering: Candidates from Engineering will have to select Paper 01 and Paper 02.

MHT CET 2020 Exam Pattern Details

MHT CET pattern 2020 includes various important aspects of the test like marking scheme, the total number of questions and marks, nature of the questions, mode of the exam, etc.

  • Mode: The MHT CET 2020 examination will be held in offline mode (pen & paper based mode).

  • Sessions: You will be tested via three papers split into three different groups which are PCMB, PCM, and PCB.

  • Exam Duration: The examination will provide 90 Minutes for each paper to complete the examination.

  • Weightage: Approximately 20% weightage will be given to the Std XI curriculum and 80% weightage will be given to the Std XII curriculum while setting the question paper.

  • Pharmacy: The candidate seeking admission to Pharmacy/ Pharm. D degree course it is mandatory that the candidate must appear for Paper II as well as Paper I and/or Paper-III.

  • Engineering Candidates: The candidate seeking admission to Engineering and Technology degree courses it is mandatory that the candidate must appear for both Paper I and Paper-II.

  • Medical Candidates: Medical candidates will need to appear for both Paper II and Paper III.

  • Format: The exam format will be in the OMR format.

  • Marking: In MHT CET 2020 each answer with correct response shall be awarded one (1) mark for Physics, Chemistry and Biology. For Mathematics, each right answer will be awarded two (2) marks.

  • Division of Marks: For MHT CET 2020, 50 questions in each subject will be divided. There will be 10 questions from Std XI syllabus and 40 questions from Std XII syllabus. A total of 50 questions out of 250 will now be from the syllabus of Std XI. 
  • Languages: All MHT CET 2020 papers except the Mathematics paper will be available in Marathi, Urdu, and English.

  • Negative Marking: There will be no negative marking for wrong answers and unattempted questions in MHT CET 2020

  • Writing: OMR sheets are to be filled using only a black ballpoint pen.

  • Blackening OMR sheet: You will have to mark the correct answer in MHT CET 2020 by blackening the corresponding circle against the serial number of the question in the answer sheet with a black ink ballpoint pen only. Out of four circles provided for selection of an answer to a question, the candidate should fill up one circle only.

  • No alteration of the marked answer: You will have to be completely confident and satisfied about the accuracy of the answer before darkening the appropriate circle in MHT CET 2020, as no change in the Answer once marked is allowed. The answer once marked is final, any change in the option once marked, done by any method, will be treated as an invalid/incorrect response.

  • Marking of answers: You will have to completely darken one and the only one best response (circle) for Correct Answer in MHT CET 2020.

MHT CET 2020 Exam Timing

All are advised to follow the exam time table given below while at the MHT CET 2020 Exam Centre. You should not forget to take your MHT CET #year admit card along with you for the MHT CET 2020.

Points to Note: How to Mark in The 'OMR Answer Sheet'

  • Pen: Use only the BLACK ink ballpoint pen to darken/mark the appropriate circle.

  • Fill In: Marking should be dark and should completely fill the circle.

  • One Answer: Mark/darken only one circle for each entry, the answer once marked is final

  • Light marking: A lightly/faintly marked/darkened circle may also be treated as an incorrect/wrong method of marking and may not be read by the Optical Scanner.

  • Changes: Any change in the option once marked, done by any method, will amount to an invalid/incorrect response.

  • Answer Space: Marking should only be done in the space provided.

  • Compulsory: All questions are Mandatory hence you will have to answer every question.

  • Note: Do not fold the answer sheet and do not make any stray marks on it.

  • Not allowed: You are not allowed to carry the Question Booklet outside the Examination Hall.

  • Example: You will have to darken the circle as shown below in the below picture.

There will be around 50 questions for Mathematics.

Each question will carry 2 marks for Mathematics.

The questions for Physics, Biology and Chemistry will carry 1 mark each.

Each correct answer in the exam will be awarded 1 mark each, which becomes 2 in the case of Mathematics. There are no negative markings in the exam. The candidates are advised to make the best out of it and score well.

The exam is a pen-paper mode test that candidates need to take at offline centres. The candidates are tested via three papers.
Health science candidates will have to pick Paper 1 and 2.
Engineering candidates will have to pick Paper 1 and 3.
The paper will be in OMR format and candidates will have to complete the same in 1.5 hours.
All questions will come with 1 mark for the right answer except for mathematics wherein each right answer will fetch 2 marks. All papers except the math paper will be available in Marathi, Urdu apart from English.
There will be no negative marking.
OMR sheets are to be filled using only black ball point pens.
