MHT CET Eligibility Criteria 2020

MHT CET 2020 Engineering & Pharmacy Eligibility Criteria:

  • Age Criteria: There is no confined age limit to apply for MHT CET 2020 examination. If you are appearing for MHT CET 2020 Health Science Degree then you should be born on or after the 31st of December 2000 to satisfy the Age Eligibility Criteria, Only then you will be an eligible candidate and you will be allowed to take MHT CET 2020. 

  • Qualifying Subjects: You should have studied Physics and Mathematics as your main subjects and Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology or some other professional subjects as vocational subjects. You should also be aware of the detailed MHT CET 2020 Syllabus in order to perform well.

  • Citizenship: MHT CET 2020 candidates must be Indian Citizens to be qualified to take the exam.

  • 12th/HSC Candidates: If you are appearing for the qualifying examination ie., 12th/HSC in 2020 then you are also eligible to appear for MHT CET 2020.  

  • MKB candidates: If you are a candidate from a place situated in the area which is specified as the disputed Karnataka-Maharashtra Border then you are also eligible for MHT CET 2020. You will have to have to produce a domicile certificate. If you are such a candidate then you must have passed 10+2 from an institution which comes under the disputed area and Marati must be your mother tongue.

  • MHT CET 2020 Marks for Admission to MBBS and BDS Courses: Unreserved candidates must have minimum marks of 50% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates who belong to the constitutional reservation and PwD must have at least 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. General category PwD candidates must have minimum marks of 45% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology.

  • MHT CET 2020 Marks for Admission to BAMS/ BHMS/ BUMS/ BPTh/ BASLP/ BP&O and BSc. Nursing: you will be shortlisted based on the merit of MHT Common Entrance Test 2020. 

  • MHT CET 2020 Marks for B.V.Sc. and A.H. Degree Course in Veterinary: The Registrar of Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Science University, Nagpur, which is the Competent Authority is going to select you for Veterinary Colleges based on the merit list of MHT CET 2020.

  • Mining Engineering Course: Female candidates are not eligible for admission to Mining Engineering course.

  • SC/ST aggregate and Reservation quota: Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category need to have at least 45% aggregate in their class 12th to be eligible for MHT CET 2020. There is a reservation of seats for candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe and Other Backward Classes.

  • Minority Candidature: Candidates who belong to a particular Linguistic or Religious Minority Community who are from Maharashtra & this particular community which has been notified by the Government are eligible for MHT CET 2020 in this category.

After fulfilling MHT CET 2020 eligibility criteria, candidates can fill the MHT CET 2020 Application form and then they can check there MHT CET 2020 Centres


MHT CET 2020 Course wise Eligibility Criteria:

First Year of Engineering:

  • Maharashtra State Candidature:

    • Citizenship: The Candidate should be a Citizen of India to apply for MHT CET 2020.

    • Qualification:Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with either Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) are eligible for MHT CET 2020 in the above subjects taken together.

    • Diploma: If the candidate has passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only).

    • B.Sc candidates: If the candidate has passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognised University as defined by UGC, and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard with Mathematics as a subject.

  • All India Candidature, Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature:

    • Citizenship: For MHT CET 2020, the candidates should be an Indian Citizen.

    • Qualification:Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50% marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together.

    • Score: Obtained a good score in JEE Main Paper I or MHT CET 2020.

First Year in Pharmacy:

  • Maharashtra State Candidature and All India Candidature:

    • Citizenship: The candidate should be an Indian National.

    • Qualification: Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together.

    • Score: The total Obtained Score in MHT CET 2020.

First Year Pharm D:

  • Maharashtra State Candidature and All India Candidature Candidates:

    • Citizenship: The candidate should be an Indian National.

    • Qualification: Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with either Mathematics or Biotechnology or Biology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks in case of candidates of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability belonging only to Maharashtra State) in the above subjects taken together.

    • Requirements: Passed Diploma Course in Pharmacy from institutes affiliated to State Board and having the approval of competent central authority and State Government and obtained at least the required percentage of marks (as notified by the Government from time to time).

    • Minimum Marks: The candidate should have obtained at least 50% marks in MHT CET 2020.

MHT CET 2020 Eligibility Criteria for PwD Candidates:

  • In addition to the basic qualification mentioned above, candidates who are suffering from any one of the following permanent disability are eligible for MHT CET 2020 to seek admission against seats reserved for persons with Disability candidates.

    • Candidates who are visually impaired (blind) Candidate type- P1

    • Candidates who are speech & hearing impaired (deaf & dumb) Candidate type- P2

    • Candidates who have orthopaedic disorders, learning disabilities, Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, Dysgraphia, Spastic Candidate type -P3

  • The candidates have to provide a certificate clearly stating that the extent of disability is not less than 40% and the disability is of permanent nature. 


MHT CET 2020 Eligibility Criteria For Jammu and Kashmir Migrant Candidature:

The candidates who are looking to get a reservation in MHT CET 2020 under J&K Migrant candidature should fulfil one of these criteria's.

  • The children of citizens, who are displaced from Jammu and Kashmir to any part of India or from an unsafe border area of Jammu and Kashmir to a relatively safer place in Jammu and Kashmir from 1990 onwards due to terrorist activities are eligible.
  • The children of officers who belong to Indian Administrative Services (IAS) or Indian Police Services (IPS) or Indian Foreign Services (IFS) 

  • The children of staff belonging to military and paramilitary forces transferred to Jammu and Kashmir to combat terrorist activities and joined the post on or before the last date for submission of the application for admission are eligible.

  • The children of staff and officers of Jammu and Kashmir police engaged in combating terrorism are eligible for MHT CET 2020 under this category. 


MHT CET 2020 Candidature Type:

TYPES

Eligibility for MHT CET 2020

Type A

Candidates who have passed SSC and also HSC or Diploma in Engineering or Bachelor of Science Examination from a recognised institution in Maharashtra State; A candidate who is either Domicile of Maharashtra and/or is born in Maharashtra.

Type B

A candidate who does not belong in Type-A, but has his/her Father or Mother in the domiciled in the State of Maharashtra and possess Domicile Certificate.

Type C

A candidate who does not belong in either Type-A or Type-B but whose Father or Mother is an employee of the Government of India or Government of India undertaking and who has been posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State.

Type D

A candidate who does not belong in any of the above Type-A, Type B and Type-C but whose Father or Mother is an employee or retired employee of the Government of Maharashtra or Government of Maharashtra Undertaking.

Type E

Candidates passing SSC and/or HSC Examination from a recognized institution located in a disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border Area or from Maharashtra, residing in the disputed Maharashtra Karnataka Border area and whose Mother tongue is Marathi.

In MHT CET 2018 the eligibilty for b pharmacy is 50% combine marks in physics , chemistry and biology but in this 50% practical marks are included or not how are this 50% calculated , can you explain clearly it should be 150 out of 300 in theory in pcb or it includes practical marks also

Eligibility for candidates appearing for MHT CET engineering, pharmacy is as follows:

  • There is no age limit specified for candidates to be eligible to appear for MHT CET engineering.
  • Candidates must be citizens of India to be eligible for MHT CET.
  • Candidates are required to have passed the 12th exam from any board to be eligible for MHT CET.
  • Candidates need to have a 50% aggregate marks in physics, chemistry, biology to be eligible.
  • Candidates belonging to the SC/ST category of the society need to have at least 45% aggregate to be eligible.
