UGC NET Registration 2024 notification has been announced by the National Testing Agency (NTA). UGC NET 2024 Registration can be done through the ugcnet.nta.ac.in the portal. The last date for the registration for UGC NET 2024 is on May 10, 2024.
However, the deadline for paying the application fee has been extended to May 11, 2024, and May 12, 2024. Candidates must pay the relevant fees to finish the UGC NET application form 2024 process.
The cost breakdown is as follows: INR 325 for candidates who are SC/ST/PwD, INR 600 for OBC, and INR 1150 for General Category candidates. However, the exam date for UGC NET has been postponed for Jun 18, 2024. In addition, the exam will be conducted in OMR (pen and paper) mode.

UGC NET Registration 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must be under 30 years old to be eligible for NTA NET JRF, however, there is no age restriction for seeking to be an Assistant Professor; reserved category applicants, however, are entitled to apply with a five-year age relaxation.
Indian citizenship is a crucial qualifying condition for the UGC NET exam, limiting participation to only Indian residents. However, Indian nationals living overseas may still apply by providing the necessary papers to confirm their status.
Candidates must have completed their post-graduation studies at an institution recognized by the UGC.
