UGC NET Application Form 2024 is out. The last date to apply is May 10, 2024 (up to 11:50 PM).
UGC NET exam pattern 2024 comprises exam duration, marking scheme, kinds of questions, and more. The exam pattern of UGC NET is different for both papers. Students must note that the exam for paper 1 and 2 will take place on the same day without any break in between.
UGC NET exam pattern both papers have a consolidated time duration of 180 minutes. As per the UGC NET exam pattern, paper one will have 50 questions, and paper two will have 100. For every correct answer, candidates will be rewarded two marks. There is no provision for negative marking as per the UGC NET exam pattern 2024.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) sets the exam pattern for candidates appearing in the National Eligibility Test (NET). There are two papers in the UGC NET 2024. UGC paper 2 is subject-specific. UGC NET exam is conducted for the post of ‘Assistant Professor’ or ‘Junior Research Fellowship’. Therefore, it is expected that an applicant has all the knowledge related to their subject. As per the UGC exam pattern 2024, paper 2 has only 1 section. The NET exam time duration for UGC paper 2 is 120 minutes.
