The TS EDCET 2025 2nd and final web counselling notification is now released on the official portal. You can exercise web options online from August 29 to September 07, 2025. Seats will be allotted on September 11, 2025, on the official website at edcetadm.tgche.ac.in.
Earlier, the board results and the final answer key were released on June 21, 2025, at 4 PM. The preliminary answer key was released on June 5, 2025. Students could raise objections against the provisional answer key till June 09, 2025. Aspirants must report to the allotted colleges between August and September 2025.
The TS EdCET exam was conducted on June 1, 2025. The Telangana EdCET exam was conducted in two shifts, 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM. The application window was opened earlier, and students had to register before May 13, 2025, at the official website to avoid late fees. The authority also released the TS EdCET admit card 2025 on May 26, 2025.
The Telangana State Education Common Entrance Test (TS EdCET) was conducted by the Kankatiya University on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE). Tie Breaking Rules for TS EDCET 2025
If two or more candidates scored the same marks in the TS EDCET 2025 exam, tie-breaking rules apply. These rules have a procedure that is mentioned below.
- If two or more candidates scored the same, then the marks scored in Mathematics and Physics will be considered first.
- If the rule mentioned above fails to settle, then the total aggregate Marchks will be considered.
- In case both the above rules fail to settle tie-breaking regulations, then the older candidates will be given more preference.

TS EDCET Exam Pattern 2025
Candidates are required to know and understand the TS EDCET 2025 exam pattern prior to starting the preparation for the exam. Understanding and knowing the exam pattern helps the candidates to get an overview of the distribution and the types of questions that are being asked in the TS EDCET 2025 Exam. TS EDCET Eligibility Criteria 2025
The official organising body sets the TS EDCET eligibility criteria 2025. Candidates must make sure that they clear the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. Failing to do so will result in the application being deemed invalid.
Age Limit
The candidate should be a minimum 19 years. On the other hand, there is no maximum age limit consideration to apply for the TS EDCET exam.
Nationality
The candidates applying for the TS EDCET examination should be Indian Nationals, or the candidates should satisfy Local/Non-Local status requirements as considered by the Telangana Educational Institutions Order 1974. The candidates must meet this requirement to appear in the TS EDCET exam.
Educational Qualifications
The educational qualifications required to apply for the TS EDCET 2025 are as follows.
- Candidates should have a qualified B.A, B.Sc., B.Sc (Home Science), B.Com, BCA, BBM/ BBA, or a Master's Degree with at least 50% aggregate Marks.
- Applicants should have done a Bachelor's in Engineering/Technology with a specialisation in Science and Mathematics with 55% aggregate marks or any other equivalent qualification.
- Students who are appearing for the final year of their degree examinations are also eligible to appear for the TS EDCET 2025.
- Those who possess MBBS/ MS/ BSC(AG)/ BVSC/ BHMT/ B.Pharm and other professional and job-oriented degree courses like LLB are not eligible to apply for this exam.
- Candidates who possess a Master's Degree without having completed an Undergraduate study are not eligible to apply for this exam.
Note: Candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC or other reserved categories should have scored at least 40% marks in the qualifying examination.
