How to Apply for CTET 2024?
Follow the step-by-step procedure below for CTET 2024 form fill up and apply.
- Step 1: Log on to the official website of CTET at ctet.nic.in
- Step 2: Find the 'Apply Online' link and open the same.
- Step 3: Upon landing on the next page, fill up the online application form. After its completion, please note down the registration/ application number for future use.
- Step 4: After filling out the form, upload scanned images of recent photographs and your signature. Please keep in mind that the signature should not be smudged.
- Step 5: Make the payment of CTET 2024 application fee.

The full form of CTET is the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. CTET 2024 Eligibility
The official notification will contain details related to CTET 2024 eligibility for each post. Candidates must make sure that they satisfy the educational requirements and the age limit criteria of the relevant post before applying for the exam. Eligibility for primary and elementary teachers is given below. The age limit is also given below.
Educational Qualification for CTET 2024 Primary Teacher (Classes I to V) - Paper 1
The candidates who have any of the following educational qualification can appear in paper 1 of CTET 2024.
- Candidate passing Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and who has passed or is appearing for the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- Candidate passing Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 45% marks and who has passed or is appearing for the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE Regulations 2002.
- Candidate passing Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and who is passed or is appearing for the final year of 4-year B.El.Ed.
- Candidate passing Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and who have passed or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Education (D.Ed).
Eligibility Criteria for CTET 2024 Elementary Teacher (Classes VI to VIII) - Paper 2
The candidates can appear for CTET 2024 paper 2 if they have any of the following educational qualification.
- Candidates passing graduation or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Candidates passing graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed.
- Candidates passing graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed, per the NCTE Regulations.
- Candidates passing Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.El.Ed.
- Candidates passing Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed or BA.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.
- Candidates completing graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
CTET 2024 Age Limit
As per the official notification, the age of the aspiring candidates should not be less than 18 years and not more than 35 years. The candidature of the candidates who do not satisfy CTET 2024 eligibility criteria will be cancelled.

CTET 2024 Admit Card

CTET 2024 Exam Pattern
CTET 2024 exam is conducted in offline mode. CTET 2024 exam pattern have two papers, paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 aims at testing the proficiency of the candidates in languages, knowledge of the psychology related to learning and teaching along with other core subjects. Paper 2 will also have similar sections aimed at testing the skills of the candidates.
Candidates can choose two languages out of the 5 available options. Candidates can choose to appear for either paper 1, paper 2, or both. Candidates who qualify for the written exam of CTET 2024 exam will be called for the Interview process.

CTET 2024 paper for the primary stage will have multiple-choice questions (MCQ). The first section, Child Development and Pedagogy, will be based on the educational psychology of teaching and learning of children of 6 to 11 years.The Language I section will focus on proficiency in the language of imparting instructions. CTET OMR Sheet 2023
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is preparing to issue a copy of CTET Aug 2023 OMR sheet and computation sheet for students who took the exam. Candidates must remember that the deadline for requesting the CBSE CTET 2023 OMR Sheet and calculation sheet was Nov 10, 2023.
Candidates should be aware that in order to acquire the CBSE CTET 2023 optical mark recognition (OMR) sheet and the calculation sheet, they must apply and pay an INR 500 charge. There will be no OMR sheet or computation sheet for the CTET Jul exam unless the fee is paid. The fee can be paid by bank draught made payable to the secretary of CBSE in Delhi.
In the application, candidates must include their roll number, name, and address. On the backside of the bank draught, candidates must additionally include their roll number and name. The application should be sent to the director CTET and forwarded by speed post or hand to CTET Unit, CBSE, PS 1-2, IP Extension, Patparganj, Delhi-110092.
