CTET 2025 (December Session): The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will soon release the CTET December 2025 session notification. It will be released on the official website at ctet.nic.in. The CTET exam dates 2025 and CTET application 2025 will be released along with the notification.
You will get around 30 days for the CTET online form submission. The exams for the December session are expected to be conducted in the 2nd week of December 2025. The CTET results 2025 will be released are expected to be released in the last week of December 2025. About the CTET Exam
The complete form of CTET is the Central Teacher Eligibility Test. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), India, conducts CTET to recruit candidates for teaching profiles all across the country. The Government of India introduced the CTET Exam to improve or introduce new standards in teaching. The board conducts the exam twice every year.
CTET 2025 exam is based on the National Curriculum Framework. All graduates are eligible to apply for the CTET 2025 exam on the official website.

How to Apply for CTET?
Follow the step-by-step procedure below for the CTET 2025 form, fill it out, and apply.
- Step 1: Log in to the official CTET website at ctet.nic.in.
- Step 2: Find the 'Apply Online' link and open the same.
- Step 3: Upon landing on the next page, fill in the required details. Once completed, note down the application number for future reference.
- Step 4: After filling out the application form, upload scanned images of recent photographs and a signature. Note that the signature should not be smudged.
- Step 5: Pay the CTET 2025 application fee.
- Step 6: At the final step, take a printout for future reference.
CTET Application Fee
The CTET 2025 application process will be completed only after the application fee is paid. CTET application fees can be paid both online and offline. Applicants can make the payment offline by using e-Challan, and those who wish to make the payment online can use debit/ credit cards.

Document Specifications for CTET Application

CTET Admit Card
CTET 2025 admit card for the December session is expected to release in the 2nd week of December 2025, on the official website at ctet.nic.in. The CTET December hall ticket can be downloaded using the application number, date of birth, and security pin. The exam city centre details, exam timings, etc., must be checked thoroughly by the candidates.

To download the CTET 2025 admit card, candidates must enter their application number, date of birth as a password, and the security pin provided at the time of registration for CTET login on the official website. The admit card contains details regarding the candidate's name, exam centre, location, and CTET exam date # and year.
Candidates must carry the admit card to the examination hall on the day of the exam. Candidates who do not have a valid admit card will not be allowed to attend the examination.
Documents are to be carried along with the CTET Admit Card.
Certain documents, such as a valid photo identity proof and a photocopy, two recent passport-size photographs, and an admit card, are required at the exam center. The photograph must match the photo uploaded during the application process. The invigilator at the exam centre will verify these documents, after which candidates will be allowed entry into the exam hall.

CTET Exam Pattern
CTET 2025 exam is conducted offline. The CTET 2025 exam pattern has two papers, paper 1 and paper 2. Paper 1 aims to test the candidates' proficiency in languages and knowledge of psychology related to learning and teaching, along with other core subjects. Paper 2 will also have similar sections aimed at testing the candidates' skills.

CTET Exam Pattern for Classes I to V (Primary Stage)
CTET 2025 paper for the primary stage will have multiple-choice questions (MCQ). The first section, Child Development and Pedagogy, will be based on the educational psychology of teaching and learning of children of 6 to 11 years. The Language I section will focus on proficiency in the language of imparting instructions. Language II will be related to language, communication skills, and comprehension abilities. Language I and Language II will be different. The applicant will have to opt for languages from a set of available languages.

CTET Eligibility
The official notification will contain details related to CTET 2025 eligibility for each post. Candidates must make sure that they satisfy the educational requirements and the age limit criteria of the relevant post before applying for the exam. Educational Qualification for CTET Primary Teacher (Classes I to V) - Paper 1
The candidates who have any of the following educational qualifications can appear in paper 1 of CTET 2025.
- Candidate passing Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and who has passed or is appearing for the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed).
- Candidate passing Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 45% marks and who has passed or is appearing for the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE Regulations 2002.
- Candidate passing senior secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and who has passed or is appearing for the final year of 4-year B.El.Ed.
- Candidate passing senior secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and who has passed or appeared in the final year of a 2-year diploma in education (D.Ed).
Eligibility Criteria for CTET Elementary Teacher (Classes VI to VIII) - Paper 2
The candidates can appear for CTET 2025 paper 2 if they have any of the following educational qualifications.
- Candidates are passing graduation or appearing in the final year of a 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Candidates passing graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed.
- Candidates passing graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed, per the NCTE Regulations.
- Candidates passing Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.El.Ed.
- Candidates passing Senior Secondary or equivalent with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of 4-year BA/ B.Sc.Ed or BA.Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.
- Candidates completing graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education).
CTET Age Limit
As per the official notification, the aspiring candidates should be at least 18 and not more than 35. The candidature of candidates who do not satisfy CTET 2025 eligibility criteria will be canceled.
