SNAP Reservation 2024 is a policy that focuses on providing equal opportunities to all candidates, regardless of their social and economic background. SNAP Reservation policy within the sanctioned intake includes a 15% reservation for SC candidates, while ST candidates benefit from a 7.5% reservation. 

On the other hand, the differently-abled candidates and Children/Wards of Defence Personnel also have a 3% and 5% reservation for specific programs, respectively. SNAP 2024 Reservation also admits candidates under the Supernumerary Quota that includes 15% reserved seats for international candidates and two seats per program for Kashmiri Migrants.

SNAP reservation 2024 is a competitive MBA admission process via an online exam that provides equitable participation to candidates from various categories. The reservation policy is applied to Scheduled Caste (SC) & Scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates, Differently Abled Candidates (DAC), Children/Wards of Defence Personnel, Kashmiri Migrants, and international applicants.

SNAP 2024 Reservation: Important Guidelines

  • Reservation percentages and categories may change. 
  • Candidates applying under reserved categories must submit relevant documents.
  • A candidate must select only one category if they fall under multiple categories. 
  • Candidates must meet minimum eligibility criteria and achieve a minimum level of performance in the SNAP test to be considered.

The SNAP Reservation 2024 Seat Matrix includes the following categories for seat reservation:

SNAP Reservation Policy Within Sanctioned Intake

The following is a reservation policy for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Nagpur Domiciled candidates as provided by the University. 

  • The University reserves 15% of seats within the sanctioned intake for Scheduled Castes candidates.
  • The University reserves 7.5% of seats within the sanctioned intake for Scheduled Tribes candidates.
  • The University reserves 25% of seats within the sanctioned intake for Nagpur Domiciled candidates, but only in case of constituents at the Off-Campus centre in Nagpur.

SNAP 2024 Reservation Over and Above Seat Intake

The University has a Supernumerary Quota which allows for the admission of additional candidates over and above the sanctioned intake. This quota is applicable to the following categories:

  • Kashmiri Migrants and Kashmiri Pandits/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) residing in Kashmir Valley: Two seats per program.
  • International candidates: 20% of the approved sanctioned intake. This category includes Foreign Nationals (FN), Persons of Indian Origin (PIO), Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) and Non-Resident Indians (NRI).

SNAP 2024 Reservation for Defence Category

Defence personnel include serving or retired personnel from the Army, Navy, and Air Force and the children of those who died while in service or after retirement. Symbiosis University provides reservations for MBA programs under the Memorandum of Association with the Ministry of Defence, Govt. of India.

  • The total reservation for the MBA program of Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS) is up to 90%.
  • Out of the total reservation 80% is reserved for Children/ Wards of Defence personnel. 
  • 10% is for the Special Defence Category.
  • The University also provides a 5% reservation for Children/ Wards of Defence Personnel in specific MBA programs - MBA (International Business), MBA (Digital and Telecom Management), MBA (Information Technology Business Management), MBA (Information Technology).
