GATE Counselling 2024: COAP Dates, Seat Allotment

GATE counselling 2024 dates will be announced by the conducting body after the results are declared. The qualified candidates must complete the GATE 2024 counselling registration process on the official website at gate2024.iisc.ac.in. Candidates can check from the GATE COAP 2024 website regarding the complete details of seats offered by the IITs and IISc for admission to the PG programs.

GATE result 2024 along with the qualifying cutoff has been declared on Mar 16, 2024. GATE scorecard 2024 has been released on Mar 23, 2024, on the GOAPS portal.

Candidates who have cleared GATE 2024 examination with the minimum required qualifying marks will be eligible to participate in the GATE counselling 2024 process for admissions into the various participating colleges. The IITs will conduct a single centralized GATE counselling 2024 process to admit the candidates who have successfully appeared for the examination.

• Spot rounds may be required of candidates, either online or offline, and may be unique to the institutes.

• Additional Rounds A, B, C, and D are separate rounds that are all handled similarly to Decisive Rounds. In these rounds, the candidates will only have the alternatives of "Accept and Freeze" and "Reject."

COAP 2024 Admission Process

The steps involved in the COAP 2024 admission process are elaborated below.

Pre-Allocation Procedure

• Step 1: Candidates must register via COAP 2024's official website.
• Step 2: Follow the directions after carefully reading the method.
• Step 3: Input your personal information.
• Step 4: Press the Submit button.
• Step 5: To log into the site, use the information that was supplied to you via email or SMS.

Acceptance Process of Admission

• Register on the portal.
• Find institute-specific allotment information under the Seat Allotment option.
• The following three alternatives will be available for the candidates to choose from.
• Accept and Freeze: This choice should be used if the applicant is ready to accept one of the offers and isn't interested in considering an increase in preference level. Such candidates won't be taken into consideration for further COAP counselling sessions.
• Retain and Wait: This choice should be made if a candidate expresses partial approval and is open to the possibility of upgrading to higher preferences during subsequent rounds of counselling. Such applicants won't be taken into account for any additional rejected proposals in the current round. The current "Retain and Wait" option will be withdrawn if a greater preference is made.
• If a candidate is unwilling to accept any offers offered in the current round, they should choose.
• Reject and Wait: Such candidates will be given higher consideration throughout subsequent rounds of counselling.
• Complete the admissions procedure by clicking the submit button.

GATE CCMT Counseling 2024

GATE CCMT counselling 2024 programme is a centralised mechanism for M.Tech., M.Arch., M.Plan., and M.Des. admissions at prestigious universities like NITs, IIEST Shibpur, select IIITs, and GFTIs. It provides students with a shared forum and streamlines the counselling procedure.

CCMT 2024 Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates need to have a current GATE score.
• At least a 6.5 CGPA or 60% on the qualifying exam must be obtained (For General and OBC).
• Candidates in the SC/ST/PwD categories are offered a 5% reduction in the required percentage.

CCMT 2024 Admission Process

Pre-Allotment Process

• Create an account on the CCMT official website.
• For OC/OB applicants, the registration cost for CCMT is INR 2200; for SC/ST/PwD candidates, it is INR 1700.

Seat Allotment

Candidates must go through IISc Counseling to be accepted to IISc Bangalore. The Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) offers candidates a common platform to select their first choice for admission. The students should bear the following advice in mind before signing up for COAP.

• The GATE scores and the IISc Bangalore-established eligibility requirements are used to conduct the admission processes.
• GATE score will be awarded 70% of the weight, while written tests or personal interviews will receive 30% of the weight.

When reporting to RC, students will need to bring the aforementioned documentation for the document verification process:

IISC Bangalore's MTech programmes are admitted through COAP counselling based on GATE scores. For applicants seeking admission into certain engineering branches, the institute also administers its entrance examination and conducts personal interviews. Exam qualifiers will need to finish the online registration process on the official IISC Bangalore website after the GATE results are made public.

IIT MTech Admission Through GATE 2024: COAP Counselling

To allocate seats, candidates seeking admission into the MTech programmes offered by IITs must take part in the GATE counselling session held through COAP 2024. Candidates must finish the online registration process on COAP's official website to be allowed to do the same. The COAP conducts four rounds of seat distribution, and the outcomes are made public after each round is completed. NIT, IIIT, CFTI MTech Admission Through GATE 2024: CCMT Counselling
