GATE Counselling 2023: Eligibility Criteria

GATE counselling 2023 eligibility criteria are mentioned below.

• Spot rounds may be required of candidates, either online or offline, and may be unique to the institutes.

• Additional Rounds A, B, C, and D are separate rounds that are all handled similarly to Decisive Rounds. In these rounds, the candidates will only have the alternatives of "Accept and Freeze" and "Reject."

Acceptance Process of Admission

• Register on the portal.
• Find institute-specific allotment information under the Seat Allotment option.
• The following three alternatives will be available for the candidates to choose from.
• Accept and Freeze: This choice should be used if the applicant is ready to accept one of the offers and isn't interested in considering an increase in preference level. Such candidates won't be taken into consideration for further COAP counselling sessions.
• Retain and Wait: This choice should be made if a candidate expresses partial approval and is open to the possibility of upgrading to higher preferences during subsequent rounds of counselling. Such applicants won't be taken into account for any additional rejected proposals in the current round. The current "Retain and Wait" option will be withdrawn if a greater preference is made.
• If a candidate is unwilling to accept any offers offered in the current round, they should choose.
• Reject and Wait: Such candidates will be given higher consideration throughout subsequent rounds of counselling.
• Complete the admissions procedure by clicking the submit button.

GATE CCMT Counseling 2023

GATE CCMT Counselling 2023 programme is a centralised mechanism for M.Tech., M.Arch., M.Plan., and M.Des. admissions at prestigious universities like NITs, IIEST Shibpur, select IIITs, and GFTIs. It provides students with a shared forum and streamlines the counselling procedure.

CCMT 2023 Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates need to have a current GATE score.
• At least a 6.5 CGPA or 60% on the qualifying exam must be obtained (For General and OBC).
• Candidates in the SC/ST/PwD categories are offered a 5% reduction in the required percentage.

CCMT 2023 Admission Process

Pre-Allotment Process

• Create an account on the CCMT official website.
• For OC/OB applicants, the registration cost for CCMT is INR 2200; for SC/ST/PwD candidates, it is INR 1700.

Seat Allotment

• The seats will be distributed by the GATE 2023 rankings attained.
• Those who have been given seats must pay a seat acceptance fee of INR 20,000.

Getting Admitted To ‘Allotted Institute’

• Candidates whose documents have been confirmed successfully must pay INR 10,000 to provisorily reserve their seats.

GATE Counselling 2023: For IISc Bangalore

Candidates must go through IISc Counseling to be accepted to IISc Bangalore. The Common Offer Acceptance Portal (COAP) offers candidates a common platform to select their first choice for admission. The students should bear the following advice in mind before signing up for COAP.

• The GATE scores and the IISc Bangalore-established eligibility requirements are used to conduct the admission processes.
• GATE score will be awarded 70% of the weight, while written tests or personal interviews will receive 30% of the weight.
• Candidates can apply for admission to research programmes (Ph.D./M.Tech.) if they have at least the second class in the following degrees:

GATE 2023 Counselling: Documents Required

When reporting to RC, students will need to bring the aforementioned documentation for the document verification process:

• Letter of provisional seat allocation.
• GATE Score Card Self-Attested Copy (2021 or 2022 or 2023)
• Photo ID as proof.
• Class X original birth certificate issued by an appropriate authority (High School) Board Certificate as evidence of birthdate.

IISC Bangalore MTech Admission through GATE 2023

IISC Bangalore's MTech programmes are admitted through COAP counselling based on GATE scores. For applicants seeking admission into certain engineering branches, the institute also administers its entrance examination and conducts personal interviews. Exam qualifiers will need to finish the online registration process on the official IISC Bangalore website after the GATE results are made public.

IIT MTech Admission through GATE 2023: COAP Counselling

To allocate seats, candidates seeking admission into the MTech programmes offered by IITs must take part in the GATE counselling session held through COAP 2023. Candidates must finish the online registration process on COAP's official website to be allowed to do the same. The COAP conducts four rounds of seat distribution, and the outcomes are made public after each round is completed. If the MTech seats at IITs are not filled during the first four rounds, there are two more rounds of seat allocation.

NIT, IIIT, CFTI MTech Admission Through GATE 2023: CCMT Counselling

The CCMT counselling process is used to determine admission to the MTech programmes provided at NITs, IIITs, and CFTIs based on GATE scores. Every year, the CCMT counselling conducting body is different. In due course, the organising committee for GATE 2023 counselling will be revealed.
