How to Calculate GATE Score 2022?
The GATE 2022 Score Card was announced on Mar 23, 2022. The score card has been made available to those students who scored higher than the GATE 2022 committee's qualifying marks. The normalisation marks can be calculated for exams that are held in multiple sessions. The GATE committee is responsible for determining the passing mark/score for each GATE Paper.
The examination authority evaluates the answers after the exam is conducted. The raw marks scored by the candidates will be generated, and then the same will be used for computing the GATE 2022 score. For the multi-session papers or subjects, the raw marks obtained by the candidates will be converted to the normalized marks for that particular subject. Hence, the raw marks or the normalized marks will be considered for calculating the GATE score 2022, based on the candidate's qualifying marks.
GATE Normalization Process
The GATE normalization process will be considered considering any variation in the difficulty levels of the question papers for different sessions. The examination authority will conduct the normalization concerning the fundamental assumption that "in all multi-session GATE papers, the distribution of abilities of candidates is the same across all the sessions". Based on this, and considering various normalization methods, authorities will follow the below-given formula to calculate the normalized marks for the multi-session papers or subjects.
