UPESMET 2025 Counselling Procedure
The procedure for counselling will include group discussions aimed at testing the candidate's communicative skills who have secured the qualifying marks. The procedure also includes documents verifications where candidates must submit the original documents. Then the process will continue to personal interview for all candidates who qualify through the GD round.

- Step 1: Once a candidate successfully clears the UPESMET 2025, there is a group discussion session at UPES, Dehradun, that is mandatory to be attended.

- Step 3: Depending on the rank, the counselling sessions occur for every candidate who has applied for the UPESMET examination. In addition, a personal interview is mandatory.

UPESMET 2025 Counselling for Uttarakhand Bonafide Resident Candidates
15% of the seats in all programs will be reserved for residents of Uttarakhand subject to production of 'Sthai Niwas Praman Patra' (Permanent Residence Certificate) issued by the competent authority of Uttarakhand state. These seats will be allotted based on the merit order in this category, provided the candidate has declared the intent to opt under this category when applying for admission.
Note: Candidates applying under this category would be required to produce the original 'Sthai Niwas Praman Patra' during the day of admission, failing which their candidature shall stand cancelled.
