About: The full form of JKCET is Jammu and Kashmir Common Entrance Test. JKCET 2019 is an entrance examination conducted by the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (JKBOPEE) for admissions into undergraduate Bachelor of Engineering (B.E) courses. These courses are offered by the government and private colleges.

  • Conducting Authority: JKCET 2019 entrance exam is conducted and managed by the JKBOPEE (Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations).

  • Frequency: JKCET 2019 is conducted once in a year for admission in Engineering programmes. These programmes are offered by the various government and private institutions situated in Jammu & Kashmir state.

  • Courses: JKCET 2019 is held for aspirants seeking admissions into Bachelor of Engineering courses in Jammu and Kashmir.

JKCET 2019 Important Dates

  • Application Form: JKCET 2019 Application Form will be available from 1st February 2019 in the online mode for all the candidates. All aspirants are expected to fill JKCET 2019 Application form on or before 27th March 2019.

  • Admit Card: The JKCET 2019 Admit Card will be available on the official website from 17th April 2019.

JKCET 2019 Eligibility Criteria

  • Qualification: Aspirants from General Category should have passed the 10+2 examination from a recognized school or institution with 50% Marks in English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. In case if students are from the reserved categories like SC/ST, the minimum eligibility aggregate goes down to 40%. Candidates appearing for the final exam of Class 12 can also appear.

  • Domicile: An applicant must be a permanent resident of Jammu and Kashmir in order to be eligible for JKCET 2019.

JKCET 2019 Application Form

  • Application Process: The candidates applying for JKCET 2019 have to select the group of examination while filling the JKCET 2019 application form, as per their choice. They can select one among PCM, PCB & PCMB. All applicants should enter the details such as personal details, qualification details, contact details etc while filling the application form.

  • Application Fee: Candidates have to pay the application form fees to complete JKCET 2019 registration. The cost of the application fee is Rs 1200 which can be paid online with the help of Credit Card/Debit Card and by Netbanking also.

JKCET 2019 Exam Pattern

  • Paper Pattern: The JKCET 2019 exam is conducted in offline mode. The paper will be divided into 2 sections: A and B. Section A comprises Physics/Chemistry, while section B contains Mathematics. 

  • Marking Scheme: Total marks of the JKCET 2019 paper is 180. One mark will be allotted to the candidates for each correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

JKCET 2019 Admit Card

  • Availability: JKCET Admit Cards will be made available for only those candidates who have filled the JKCET 2019 Application Form successfully.

  • Issue Date: Admit Card will be issued online and the candidates can download using their unique credentials from 17th April 2019

  • Offline Availability: Aspiring Candidates without internet connection, may avail this facility. They can fetch their JKCET 2019 Admit Card from the help desk of the I.T. section of J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations with a prior telephonic appointment. A nominal fee of Rs. 100/-  has to be payed on any working day to get their Admit Card.

  • Discrepancies- Aspirants must thoroughly check for discrepancies in the JKCET Admit Card. If they happen to find anything, then the candidates must get in touch with the authorities concerned.

JKCET 2019 Syllabus

  • Syllabus: JKCET 2019 question paper will be based on the syllabus of Intermediate (I.Sc/ +2/ equivalent).

  • Subjects: JKCET Syllabus comprises of the four subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Biology.

  • Reference Books: Reference Books such as 10th and 12th NCERT Books for Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are recommended for the candidates to refer during the examination.

JKCET 2019 Results

  • Declaration Date: JKCET 2019 Results will be declared on the official website on 22nd May 2019.

  • Answer Key: Aspirants will gain access to the answer key at 6.00 PM on the exam day or late by 12 noon the next day. Candidates can download the answer key from the official website.

  • Merit List: JKCET 2019 merit list will be prepared on the basis JKCET Result. Candidates with higher marks will attain a higher rank.

  • Cut-off: Cut-off will be prepared after the analysis of JKCET 2019 Result. To clear the cutoff, candidates have to secure more than 50% in the qualifying examination.

JKCET 2019 Counselling

  • Commencement:  JKCET Counselling dates have not been announced and it is expected to occur in the third week of May. Two rounds of Counselling will take place.

  • Counselling Fee: An aspirant has to pay a Counselling Fee of INR 1200 online before the commencement date.

  • Document Verification: During the Counselling, candidates have to produce the necessary documents in order to get admission.

JKCET 2019 Guidelines

Aspirants have to follow these important guidelines given below.

  • Instructions: Aspirants should read all the given instructions carefully and comply with the same.

  • Reporting time: Exam Centres will open 15 minutes before the reporting time. So, students are advised to be present on time. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall after the distribution of answer sheets.

  • Admit card: Candidates will not be allowed to enter in the examination hall without JKCET Hall Ticket. 

  • Prohibited items: Test-takers are advised not to carry any textual material, printed/ handwritten material inside the exam hall. Mobile phones/ calculators/ pocket transistors/ electronic watches with facilities of calculator/ slide rules/ or any other such aid are not allowed inside JKCET 2019 examination hall.

  • No eatables allowed: Tea, coffee, cold drinks, snacks, and smoking are not allowed in the examination hall during the commencement of JKCET Exam.

  • Seating: Test-takers are not allowed to change their alloted seat in any case. They are expected to sit only in their assigned place.

  • Leaving the hall: Aspirants are not allowed to leave the hall before the completion of given time and without handing over the answer sheet to the invigilator on duty.

  • Entry: No person other than those authorized by the board (BOPEE) shall be allowed to enter the examination hall.

  • Disqualification Basis: A candidate’s misbehavior may lead to their disqualification from the exam. Any kind of disturbance may also lead to strict action against that candidate.
