Kashmir University admission for 2025 is primarily based on a combination of merit in the qualifying examination and performance in university-conducted entrance examinations (KUET) or national-level tests like JEE Main, CMAT, UGAT, and BOPEE. The University of Kashmir admission process is designed to be transparent, inclusive, and aligned with national education policies, as outlined by the Directorate of Admissions and Competitive Examinations (DACE). For Kashmir University Admission 2025, about 67% of the total seats in a course or a program are filled by open merit category candidates, and the remaining 33% by reserved classes. • BTech: Candidates seeking University of Kashmir course admissions to BTech programs (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science) must appear for JEE Main and participate in the counseling process conducted by the university.
• MBA: Admission to the MBA program requires a valid CMAT score. Non-CMAT candidates can appear for the KUET conducted by Kashmir University.
• MCA: Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 credits in Computer Science or equivalent and qualify in the KUET.
• BA LLB (Hons): Admission is based on the KUET, with eligibility requiring 10+2 with 45% marks for general category and 40% for reserved categories.
• MSc/MA Programs: Admissions to programs like MSc Botany, Chemistry, Zoology, and MA English, Urdu, or Economics are based on KUET scores, with eligibility requiring 12 credits in the relevant subject during graduation.
• BPharm/BSc Nursing: Admissions are managed by the Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE), requiring 10+2 with specific subject combinations.
• PG Diploma/Certificate Courses: These are merit-based, with eligibility typically requiring a bachelor’s degree in any stream.
