About AEEE 2019

  • About: 

    • AEEE 2019, also known as Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam is conducted by Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, for students who seek admission in Amrita School of Engineering for B.Tech, across 4 campuses - Amritapuri Campus (Kerala), Bengaluru Campus and Coimbatore Campus, and Mysuru Campus.

    • Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham is a deemed to be multi-campus, multi-disciplinary research academic University established under section 3 of the UGC Act 1956. 

  • Courses offered: Amrita University provides B.Tech programs such as Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering, Mechanical Engineering etc.

  • Examination Level: AEEE is a University level examination. Candidates have to attempt the AEEE conducted by the department that they have opted to gain admission to Amrita Group of Institutions.

AEEE 2019 Important Dates/ Schedules

  • Application Form: Application Form is available on the official website from 19th October 2018. Candidates should complete the registration process by 10th April 2019. 

  • Exam Dates: AEEE 2019 will be conducted in 2 modes. The online test and offline test, the online test (i.e.) a computer-based test will be conducted on 22nd April 2019 and the offline test (i.e.) paper & pen-based test will be conducted on 27th April 2019.

  • Admit Card: Admit Card will be available on the official website from 27th April 2019.

  • Result Date: AEEE 2019 Result will be declared on 5th May 2019.

AEEE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

  • Academic Qualification: For the candidate to appear in the exam he/ she should fulfill the Eligibility Criteria, the candidate should have a minimum qualification of Class XII/ PUC or equivalent examination.

  • Age: The candidates who want to give AEEE should have age limit above 18.

  • Lateral Entry: Candidates with a minimum of 60% marks in a diploma course in engineering awarded by any State Board Technical Education are also eligible.

AEEE 2019 Application Form

  • Filling of Application: Candidates are expected to fill the application form with genuine and relevant details. They should submit the application form only after the complete self-verification. The application form will be accepted only after the payment of application fee.

  • Candidates also have to upload their photo (size should be 3.5 cm (Width) x 4.5 cm (Height)) and signature while filling the application form.

  • Application Date: Application Form will be available on the official website from 19th October 2018 and the last date to submit is on 10th April 2019.

  • Payment: The application fee is INR 1000 for candidates seeking admission through AEEE 2019 and INR 300 for candidates seeking admission based on the rank scored in JEE Mains. The online payment for the form can be paid through Net Banking /Debit Card/ Credit Card.

AEEE 2019 Exam Centres

  • Centers: The exam is set to be conducted in multiple centers across India.

  • Choice: Candidates has to select their own preferred choice of Exam Centre while filling the Application Form.

    • Candidates will be allowed to choose 2 cities for Offline test and 3 cities for Online test as their preferred centers.
    • They will have to fill up the city code in the application form accordingly.
  • Venue: Exam Centre is allotted to the candidate based on his/ her preferences. The allotted center will be mentioned on the Admit Card.

  • Change of Centre: Exam Centres once allocated for a particular student cannot be changed under any circumstance.

AEEE 2019 Exam Pattern

  • Mode: The exam will be conducted through both (online and offline) modes.
  • Paper Pattern: Exam Pattern mainly consists of questions from the fundamental subjects (Physics/ Chemistry/ Mathematics) portion from Class XI and Class XII syllabus.

  • Questions & Sections: There will be 100 questions included in the question paper which contains 3 major sections.

  • Marking Scheme: 3 marks will be awarded for every right answer, whereas for each incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted from the total score. For more than one answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

  • Duration: The examination can be attempted for a maximum time period of 2 hours and 30 minutes i.e. 150 minutes.

AEEE 2019 Admit Card

  • Availability: Candidates who have filled the Application Form can access the Admit Card/ Hall Ticket from the official website of Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham, and retain a copy for future references.

  • Credential: The candidate needs to enter the specified credentials i.e. Login Id and Password to gain access to the Admit Card.

  • Admit Card Hard Copy: All the candidates are required to produce the admit card at the time of examination. Candidates who fail to bring the Admit Card will not be permitted to write the examination.

AEEE 2019 Syllabus

  • Syllabus: AEEE syllabus is mainly focused on Class XI and XII Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics portions.

  • Source: The candidates can refer to the Class XI and Class XII textbooks to understand the syllabus better and prepare a proper schedule to brush up the portions.

  • Reference Books: The candidate can find the syllabus with the exact match of the reference books for each subject.

AEEE 2019 Results

  • Declaration: The results will be declared on the official website of the university on 5th May 2019, candidates can access with the valid credential to get the results.

  • Result: Visit the official portal of Amrita University. Click on the link provided in the website as AEE Result 2019.

  • Credentials: The candidates should enter the Register Number and Date of Birth in order to check the Results. The result will be displayed on the screen.
  • Printout: Candidates are advised to download and take a print out of result scorecard for future use.

AEEE 2019 Counselling

  • Counseling Date: Counselling will commence from 10th May 2019 through the offline process at the allotted university campus.

  • Counseling Procedure: The counseling will be commenced soon after the publication of the rank list. It is necessary to secure rank to be eligible for the counseling. Counseling involves Registration for counseling by paying counseling charges, academic preference submissions, Allotment of Seat, Acceptance of Seat Offered, Payment of Fees and Verification of Documents.

  • Counseling Fee: To attend the counseling, students have to register and pay the counseling fee. The counseling fee is non-refundable.
  • Admission: It is necessary to attend the counseling to get the admission. Candidates are offered admission to an academic programme based on their academic preferences and based on All India Ranks of JEE (Mains) 2019 or based on the rank secured in AEEE 2019

  • Seat Allotment: The Seat allocation will be done on the basis of candidate's AEEE 2019 rank and JEE Mains 2019 rank, eligibility, category, choices filled for the branch and seat availability in the college. 

  • Documents Required: Students have to bring various documents (in original) along with their photocopies at the time of counseling. Without documents verification, candidates will not be considered for admission. The list of required documents at the time of counseling are listed below:
    1. 10th Class Certificate.
    2. 12th Class Mark Sheet.
    3. Class 12th Hall Ticket and AEEE 2019 Hall Ticket.
    4. AEEE 2019 Rank Card.
    5. Transfer Certificate from the last studied school to prove the “State” from where candidates have passed the examination.
    6. Category Certificate (in case of SC/ST).
    7. Sports category certificate (if applicable).
    8. Other documents as mentioned in the call letter.

  • Application start date: Online Application Form is available from the 19th October 2018 to 10th April 2019.

  • Age: The Candidates must be born on or after 1 July 1997, to take up AEEE.
  • Qualification: The candidates must have passed 10th class and 12th class or equivalent from a recognized board.

  • Aggregate: The candidates must have secured a minimum of 60% aggregate in Maths, Physics, and Chemistry.

AEEE 2019 Application Process

Online Application Procedure:

  • To apply for the online exam, the candidates will have to first register on the official website by providing their name and email id and submit other details required.

  • A login password will be sent to the email id of the candidates.

  • Using this password, the candidates can log in to the university’s website.

  • The candidate is now required to pay the application fee of INR 1000 via credit/debit card or net banking.

  • The candidate should upload the scanned copies of their photograph and signature in the requested format.

  • Once the application is filled, candidates are advised to take the printout of application form for future use.

AEEE 2019 Offline Application Procedure:

  • The candidates applying through the offline mode must purchase the OMR printed form worth INR 1000 from the respective banks, offices or outlets. The application form will also be available from the university or its other 4 campuses.

  • The payment of the application fee can be made via Demand Draft in favor of Amrita School of Engineering payable at Coimbatore.

  • The form should be duly filled and all the required documents must be enclosed along with the application form.

  • Once all the formalities are done, the form should be sent to the university address.

  • The AEEE 2019 examination Results will be declared on the official website.

  • Candidates can check their results by submitting the enrollment number, date of birth and a given security code.

AEEE 2019 Counselling

  • The candidates must ensure that they carry six color photographs of the size 3.5 X 4.5 cm (passport size) with them at the time of counseling

  • The candidates must produce their admit card during the counselling session, failing which they will not be allowed. They should preserve the Admit card duly signed by the invigilator till the admission procedure is over in Amrita University.

  • Any counseling letter for AEEE 2019 will not be sent by post for the candidates. The candidate shall ascertain his/her eligibility for admission with respect to age and +2 marks before attending the counseling.

  • In case any candidate is found ineligible for the admission, his/her admission will be canceled.

  • If the candidates have passed 12th class from the respective state in which the University campus is located, in that case, a certain percentage of seats in each campus will be allotted for the candidates.

CUT OFF Note: The admission to the University is based on the rank secured in the AEEE 2019 Examination. After the result is declared, a cut off the list based on the result is updated. Based on the candidate’s rank, the seats will be allotted.

Eligibility criteria are you should get 90% in Maths and Science and Pass certificate from the board of intermediate. I took AEEE exam. It is conducted by the university itself. There are no proper cutoffs. Seats are given based on rankings. Like lowest ranks will be asked to choose the branch of interest and like this proceed to high ranks until the seats are filled.

  • Amrita has its own entrance exam since it's a deemed university. The student should apply for the entrance exam which will be conducted during the month of April. The entrance exam is AEEE which stands for amrita entrance examination.
  • The minimum eligibility criteria for the exam is a pass in 10+2 or its equivalent. The exam should be fairly easy with proper preparation.
  • Admission is based on the rank you score in AEEE.
  • A counselling will be held based on the rank. During the counselling session, you can choose your course and college as amrita university has 4 colleges in engineering.
  • You will be allotted seat as per availability. The seats will be served on the basis of rank in AEEE.
  • Electrical and electronics engineering is not a high demand in Amrita Puri campus. So you will be able to get a seat in the course easily.

AEEE 2019 Application Forms will be available from 1st Dec 2018.

Eligibility criteria:-

  • Age: Candidates must have born on or after 1st July 1998 to be eligible for AEEE 2019.

  • Qualification: Candidates must have passed intermediate or equivalent from a recognised board.

  • Aggregate: Candidates must have secured 60% of marks in PCM and 55% of marks individually in each subject.

  • Pursuing Candidates: The candidates who are attending the equivalent exam is also eligible for the exam.

No! Amrita University is not affiliated with another University. Amrita University is a university established under sec 3 of UGC Act 1956. The university is recognised by UGC and the Ministry of HRD, Govt. of India. 

The University is accredited by National Assessment and Accreditation Council ( NAAC ) with ‘A’ Grade in 2009 and 2014. The HRD Ministry’s Panel Report (2010) on Deemed Universities has also graded Amrita in Category ‘A’.

Beyond this, Amrita University conducts its own entrance exam known as Amrita Entrance Examination - Engineering (AEEE)

The candidate who is interested in admission having a three-year Diploma in engineering can also apply to Amrita Unversity. A minimum of 60% marks is required which can be awarded by State Board of Technical Education or any equivalent University. He/She should also apply for AEEE conducted by Amrita University. The candidate will be shortlisted based on the rank, scores and eligibility according to the college preferences.

The candidate who is interested in getting admission to Amrita University should appear for AEEE. The candidate has to pass his/her Higher Secondary Exam with a minimum aggregate of 60%. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry should be a mandatory subject with a minimum of 55% in each of the three.
