WBJEE 2023 Application Form Correction Brief

As mentioned above, the correction facility for WBJEE 2023 will opened for a specific time and the dates will be announced accordingly. It is the only time the candidates will get the chance to fix their mistakes, post which any forms that were left uncorrected or candidates coming to correct it after the allotted date will be rejected. Although you will need to pay a fee for the application form filling procedure, you don’t need to pay a fee for correcting your form.

Corrections can only be made to certain sections of the form. The following are fields you can or cannot correct:

WBJEE 2023 Application Form Correction Procedure

Please note that WBJEE form corrections come in two forms: text corrections and image corrections. If you want to make any corrections to either of them in your WBJEE 2023 application form, then you will need to follow the appropriate procedures provided below.

Text Corrections

• Visit the official website and go to the sign-in page.
• Enter your application number, password, and your security code.
• After filling them and pressing “Sign In”, select “Edit” mode.
• You can then correct any mistakes you’ve made in the form. Please note that you cannot correct the details provided in the Correction Brief section.
• Save your corrections, and print the corrected application form for future use and reference.

Image Corrections

Image corrections can only be done online. If there are any issues with the images themselves, then you will be contacted by the authorities to make the corrections. The time limit for said corrections will only be one day, post which the application will be rejected if the errors still persist. The following is the procedure to change anything regarding the images:

• Visit the official website.
• Enter your application number, password, and your security code.
• Click on “Remove Image Discrepancy in Photograph and Signature”.
• Remove the images with the error.
• Take the corrected image which meets the specification standards, and scan it.
• Crop the image to the provided size.
• Resize the image to “Email small”.
• After saving the image, upload it to the portal.

Specifications for images include the format, the size, the dimensions, and the printing measures. Please note that the abbreviations of different file sizes may appear visually similar. E.g., KiloByte (KB) and Kilobit (Kb) are different file sizes. The specifications for images are as follows:

Photographs

• Dimensions: 4 cm x 3 cm
• File Size: 3 KB - 100 KB
• File Format: .JPEG or .JPG
• Printing Measure: 300 dpi
• Signature
• Dimensions: 4 cm x 1.5 cm
• File Size: 3 KB - 30 KB
• File Format: .JPEG or .JPG 
• Printing Measure: 300 dpi
