HPCET exam date 2024 has been released by HPTU and is scheduled for May 10, 2024.
HPCET 2024 application form has been made available online on Mar 20, 2024. Candidates can now fill up the HPCET application form 2024 at himtu.ac.in until Apr 18, 2024. Before registering for the exam, candidates are recommended to review the official HPCET 2024 eligibility criteria.
HPCET 2024 will be administered as a pen-and-paper test at several centres on May 10, 2024, (9 AM to 12:15 PM). All registered candidates will be able to obtain their HPCET 2024 admit card online. The authorities would also consider JEE Main 2024 and 12th grade qualifying examination marks for HPCET admissions.
HPCET is conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Technical University (HPTU), which provides admission into B.Tech/B.Pharma/BHMCT & B.Sc courses and other PG courses in the participating institutes of the state.

HPCET 2024 Application Form
HPCET 2024 application form has been released on the official website on Mar 20, 2024. HPCET 2024 application form submission's last date is till Apr 18, 2024.
After successfully submitting the HPCET application form, the candidates are advised to take a printout of the confirmation page. The printed application form has to be submitted to the authorities through email or by personally sending it to the prescribed address.

Established in 2010, Himachal Pradesh Technical University is responsible for conducting Himachal Pradesh Combined Entrance Test (HPCET) for candidates aspiring to pursue careers in fields like engineering and technology, management, and science education across the state. HPCET is conducted every year through offline mediums.

HPCET 2024 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates are advised to carefully review the pre-defined eligibility criteria for HPCET 2024, to avoid making unnecessary mistakes during the admission procedure.
HPCET 2024 eligibility criteria vary for each program. For the B.Tech program, candidates should have Physics and Mathematics as mandatory subjects and for the B.Pharma program, the main subjects need to be physics and chemistry.
Eligibility criteria consist of all the requirements and conditions the candidates must satisfy to appear for the HPCET Exam 2024. The eligibility criteria for the HPCET Exam consist of age limit, nationality, marks in the qualifying examination, educational qualification, etc.
Candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria of HPCET to participate in the entrance examination. Candidates who do not satisfy the eligibility criteria will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
- Percentage Criteria: For B. Tech, B. Pharma, and B. Pharmacy (Ayurveda) programs, the candidates should have secured a minimum of 45% marks for the general category and the reserved category (ST/ SC/ OBC) the same should be a minimum of 40%.
- JEE Main: Candidates who have cleared the JEE Main 2024 examination will not be required to write the HPCET examination. These candidates are eligible for direct admission to the college.

HPCET 2024 Admit Card
HPCET 2024 admit card will be available on the official website tentatively on May 6, 2024. Admit cards for HPCET 2024 can be downloaded by entering the application number and selecting the preferred program.
The admit card contains important information about the candidate, like their name, allotted exam centre, place, and category. It is considered an important document for official identification purposes during the exam attempt.
HPCET 2024 admit card will be issued to all the candidates who have successfully filled and submitted the application form online. Candidates appearing for the exam must download and take a printout of the admit card.
The candidates must carry their original photo ID proof, and HPCET 2024 admit card for verification at the exam centre. Without admit card the candidate will not be allowed to write the exam.

HPCET 2024 Exam Pattern
HPCET 2024 exam will be conducted offline by filling out the provided OMR sheet to answer the objective questions. Two marks will be awarded for every correct answer, and 0.5 marks will be deducted for incorrect or opting for more than one answer.
