What is AP ICET?

AP ICET(Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test) is a common entrance exam for admission into various institutes in the state of Andhra Pradesh for MBA and MCA Courses. The Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati conducts the AP ICET Exam on the behalf of Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education.

AP ICET 2019 Exam Level:  The AP ICET 2019 examination is a State Level Entrance Examination conducted for admission into colleges inside the state. 

Frequency: The AP ICET Exam is conducted once a year in the month of April.

Exam Pattern: The exam is conducted offline and has 200 MCQs to be completed in 150 minutes.

The notification of the AP ICET is generally released in the last week of February or the first week of March. The exam takes place in the month of April and the results are declared in the month of May.

The candidate must be an Indian Nationals. He/she must satisfy local / non-local status requirements laid down in the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. Besides this, as this exam is for admission into post graduation courses, the candidate is ought to have either completed or must be in the final year of his/her graduation.

The candidates must have an aggregate of at least 50% in their graduation. The candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC and PH categories are given a relaxation of 5% and they must have a minimum of 45% aggregate in their graduation.

There is no age limit in AP ICET 2019. 

For admission into the MCA course, the candidate must have Mathematics in class 12 as a subject.

The registration process for AP ICET starts from 27th February 2019. The whole registration process is online where the candidate needs to apply through the official site of AP ICET conducting authority.

How to Apply for AP ICET 2019?

The candidate can apply by taking the following steps:

  • Step 1: Fee Payment-The Candidates have to first make the online payment in order to apply for AP ICET 2019.
  • Step 2: Payment Status- After the payment candidates have to verify whether the payment is done or not.
  • Step 3: Fill in the Application form- Once the payment is successful candidates get the access to fill up the application form. In this, the candidate has to enter his/her personal and academic details.
  • Step 4: Uploading of Documents- The candidates need to upload the scanned images of specified documents.
  • Step 5: Print out of Application form- Candidates after successfully filling up the form should take a print out of the application form for future reference.

AP ICET 2019 Application form can only be filled online on the official website of the conducting authority. The candidates need to first make the payment, then they have to enter their personal and academic details and finally upload the documents.

Exam Pattern

AP ICET Exam is conducted offline. It is a Pen-paper based exam that consists of 200 questions that are to be completed in 150 minutes. For every correct answer, 1 mark is awarded and there is no negative marking in this exam.

The exam consists of three sections: Analytical, Mathematical and Communication Ability. The Analytical ability and Mathematical Ability section each consists of 75 questions and the communication ability section consists of 50 questions.

Admit Card

Admit card is released on the official website of Sri Venkateshwara University. The students are asked to check the AP ICET 2019 Admit Card after downloading. If any discrepancies are found, they can contact the university.

How to Download the Admit Card?

The candidate can download the admit card by taking the following steps:

  • Visit the official APICET website and click on the admit card link.
  • Fill in your application number and date of birth and click on the Get Hall ticket/Admit card link.

Documents required at the Exam Centre

The candidates must carry the following documents to the Exam Centre:

The AP ICET 2019 Result was announced on 6th May 2019. The candidates can download the AP ICET 2019 Result from the official website. The candidates with marks above 25% are eligible for admission into PG courses.

Re-Evaluation: Candidates who wish to get a re-evaluation done have to submit an application for re-evaluation within 15 days after the result is declared with a demand draft of Rs.1,000/- in favour of the Convener, APICET – 2019,  payable at Andhra University, Visakhapatnam on any Nationalised Bank.

How to download the Result?

Following steps are there in order to view the result:

  • Log in to the official APICET website with the help of your admit card.
  • Click on 'Download result' and enter your hall ticket number and click on submit.
  • Download and print your Result.

Selection Process

The candidates have to first appear for the written test. If they are able to score more than the minimum percentage criteria decided by the conducting authority, they'll be eligible for the counselling process. Now, based on the marks scored by the candidates and cutoffs decided by the institute, candidates will be called for counselling at a particular institute. There document verification process will take place. 

After verification of documents, the candidate has to pay the fees of the respective institute. After this, the candidate will get admitted to that particular institute.


The counselling process for AP ICET 2019 will probably start in July. The location of the counselling centre will be intimated to the candidates through the online website only.

The entire process of AP ICET 2019 Counselling will include document verification, allotment of seats and admissions. The counselling will be based on the merit list produced which will be based on the performance of the candidate in AP ICET 2019.

Answer Key

The Sri Ventakeswara University of Tirupati has released the Answer Keys for the Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (AP ICET). The keys for each set is there on the official website of the AP ICET. Candidates can check their sheets and can raise objections if they have any.

The objections should be submitted in the below format only. Candidate should not submit objections in any other formats.

How to prepare for AP ICET?

The first thing is to have a complete Idea about the syllabus of the exam for effective planning. Besides that, in AP ICET, the candidate has to solve 200 questions in 150 minutes, thus it is a race against time. The candidate should practice as many questions as possible to increase his/her speed. This technique is for Analytical and Mathematical ability. 

For communication ability, the candidates should read newspapers, magazines and Grammar books thoroughly. Moreover, the candidate can take the help of reference books and previous year papers.

  • ID Proof: Admit Card and ID proof are mandatory for every candidate. Without the ID card, the candidates will not be allowed inside the examination hall.

  • Report Early: The candidate must reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam as the security checks, identity verification, and check-in may take a considerable time.

  • Latecomers Not Allowed: If a candidate reaches the exam centre after the commencement of the exam then the candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.

Ans. The candidate needs to score at least 25% marks in the exam i.e equal to or more than 50 out of 200.
