AP ICET 2024 seat allotment will be released by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education for MBA/MCA on August 20, 2024. The candidates are allotted seats based on their cut-off in AP ICET 2024, choices filled by them, rank scored, reservation criteria and many other factors. The candidates have to select  AP ICET 2024 participating colleges and report to them before 24th August 2024.

AP ICET AP ICET is an entrance exam which allows admissios to MBA/MCA program in the state of Andhra Pradesh. Sri Krishnadevaraya University, Ananthapuramu, conducts AP ICET on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education.

AP ICET Counselling 2024

AP ICET counselling 2024 schedule will be released by APSCHE on the official website. AP ICET counselling registration commenced in Nov 2024. AP ICET seat allotment  2024 will be released on 20th August 2024. The  selected candidates who are allotted seats must report to the respective colleges from 20 to 24th August 2024. 

The candidates will have to pay the counselling fee to confirm their registration. For open-category candidates, the counselling fee is INR 1200, and for SC/ST/PwD candidates, it is INR 600.

Candidates can download AP ICET 2024 results and rank cards from the official website using their login credentials. Those who obtain marks above 25% are eligible for admission into PG courses.

If both the candidates have scored the same marks and are in a situation of a tie for allocating the rank, then the following criteria are considered.

  • The candidate who has scored the highest marks in section A is declared with the highest rank.
  • If the candidates have scored the same marks in section A also, then the candidate who scored highest in section B is declared the highest rank.
  • If they have scored the same marks in both sections A and B, the candidate with the older age is declared the highest rank.

AP ICET application form 2024 has been released on the official website on Mar 6, 2024. The last date to submit the application form with a late fee of INR 1000 was Apr 12, 2024. Candidates can further submit the registration form with a late fee of INR 2000, 3000, and 5000 till Apr 17, Apr 22, and Apr 27, 2024, respectively. The AP ICET application correction window was open from Apr 28 - Apr 29, 2024.

The candidates have to first appear for the written test. If they can score more than the minimum percentage criteria decided by the conducting authority, they'll be eligible for the counselling process. AP ICET Exam Day Guidelines 2024

The following guidelines are provided to guide you for Exam Day. Candidates are requested to go through these to ensure a nice AP ICET Exam appearance.

  • ID Proof: Admit cards and ID proof are mandatory for every candidate. Without the ID card, the candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall.
  • Report Early: The candidate must reach the exam centre at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the exam as the security checks, identity verification, and check-in may take considerable time.
  • Latecomers Not Allowed: If a candidate reaches the exam centre after the commencement of the exam, then the candidate will not be allowed to enter the examination hall.
  • No Talking Inside the Examination Hall: The candidate is not allowed to talk to anybody during the examination. If the candidate is found doing the same, it will lead to the cancellation of the candidature of the candidate. It will be sent outside the examination hall without any warning.
  • Restricted Items: Candidates shouldn't carry any Electronic device like a watch with a calculator, printed material, paper bits, mobile phone, pager, Calculators, or Log Tables except the Admit Card, identity proof, or any document inside the examination hall.

Q: Who conducts the AP ICET?

A: The Andhra Pradesh Integrated Common Entrance Test (AP ICET) is conducted by Sri Venkateswara University, located in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. APSCHE is a governing body established by the Andhra Pradesh government to oversee the education system of higher institutions and coordinate various entrance exams like AP ICET. It is an entrance exam to get admissions into management courses in the state of Andhra Pradesh.

Q: How long is the duration of the AP ICET exam?

A: The APIC CET duration of the exam is two hours and 30 minutes, which is equal to 150 minutes. The candidate is required to answer 200 multiple-choice questions into three sections that is analytical ability, mathematical ability and communication ability within the timeframe of 150 minutes. All the sections are set to test the essential skills required for a candidate to pursue management programs. There is no specific time allotted to any of the individual sections. The candidate can devote as much time in particular section as they want.

Q: What is the syllabus for AP ICET?

A: The syllabus for AP ICET is divided into three major sections. Number one is analytical ability, which contains data sufficiency, problem solving like sequences and series, data analysis, coding, decoding, time, date and arrangement problems. Second section contains mathematical ability with topics like ratio, proportion, profit and loss, time and work, equations, angles, mean, median, mode, et cetera, and the third section comprises of communication ability, which contains vocabulary, synonyms, and antonyms, usage of correct grammar and sentences, reading comprehension, etc.

Q: What are the qualifying marks for the AP ICET?

A: The minimum passing marks required for candidates in the general category are 25% of total marks, which means at least 50 marks out of 200 and there are no minimum qualifying marks for candidates belonging to a schedule caste or schedule tribe.

Q: Are the candidates belonging to Andhra Pradesh but living in other states eligible for AP ICET 2024 exam?

A: Yes, they are eligible but they should be able to produce the domicile certificate at the time of counselling for AP ICET 2024 exam.

Q: Can a candidate pay AP ICET 2024 Fees through Cheque or Demand Draft?

A: No, the candidate can only pay AP ICET 2024 fees through online means that is through Debit/ Credit Card/ AP Online or Internet Banking.

Q: What is the AP ICET marking scheme 2024?

A: As per AP ICET marking scheme 2024, one mark will be given for each correct answer. AP ICET exam 2024 does not have negative marking for wrong answers.
