Steps to Fill NEET Application Form
While inviting applications for NEET 2023, NTA has advised ensuring that the information entered by the candidate is submitted fast; the application process has been divided into 2 Sets/Phases.
Set/Phase 1: This set of information has to be filled out before the last date of submission. The candidates will be required to do the registration, fill in the educational details (Class 12th) and upload documents.
Set/Phase 2: In the 2nd set of information, the candidates must enter the details before declaring the Result/ downloading the scorecard. The candidates must enter specific personal details, educational details (Class 10th & 11th), and additional details.
NTA has urged that all the candidates fill up each set of information on the application form at the respective time of availability. If the candidate fails to fill in any information, their candidature will be cancelled.
The candidates must follow the below-mentioned steps to fill out NTA NEET 2023 application form.
Step 1: Registration
The candidates must register on the official website by clicking on New Registration for NEET login
- Fill in the details: name, parents' name, contact details, gender, category, date of birth, nationality, etc.
- Enter your present address and permanent address
- Choose a password of your choice and enter the security pin
Step 2: Filling NEET Application Form 2023
When the candidates move on to the next page, the details in Step 1 will be auto-filled.
- In the following step, candidates will be required to do the self-declaration.
- They will also have to enter details concerning a category, disability, etc.
- In the 2nd step, the candidates will also have to enter four exam centers of their choice.
Step 3: Educational Details
In Set 1 of the form filling of NEET 2023, the candidates will be required to give the class 12th educational details.

Provisions for NEET Application Form 2023
The use of an Aadhaar by NEET 2023 applicants will result in the accuracy of the candidate's identification details. Accordingly, NTA has decided to use Aadhar for the applicants of NEET 2023 and, at this moment, notifies the following:
- Online Application: Candidates who have Aadhar shall enter their Aadhar number, name, date of birth & gender in the online NEET 2023 exam application form for their identity and authentication. (nta.nic.in - neet 2023)
- Enrollment: Test-takers not yet enrolled for Aadhar are now required to apply for Aadhaar enrolment in case they are entitled to obtain Aadhaar as per section 3 of the Aadhaar Act. Such applicants may visit any Aadhaar enrollment centre (list available at www.uidai.gov.in) to get enrolled for Aadhaar.
- Facilitation Centers: Candidates without Aadhar cards will be facilitated in these; the NTA has specially set up facilitation centres in each city of examination for Aadhaar enrolment. Candidates can approach facilitation centres that will not charge any amount from any applicant for Aadhaar enrolment.
- List: The list of the facilitation centres is available on the official website of NTA. These candidates who have enrolled for Aadhaar and have not received Aadhaar should enter 14 digits Aadhaar Enrolment ID (including slash) printed on the Aadhaar enrolment slip at the time of filling out the online application form for NEET 2023.
- Request Submission: If the Aadhaar enrolment facility is unavailable at the facilitation centres, the candidates should submit a request for Aadhaar enrolment. The facilitation centre will issue a registration number to such candidates. The candidates should enter this registration number when filling out the online application form of NEET 2023.
- Advantages of an Aadhaar Card: Using an Aadhaar will also help ascertain the candidates' identities at the examination centres conveniently and hassle-free. Aadhaar obviates the need to produce multiple documents to prove one's identity.
- Importance: NEET 2023 Application Form is mandatory for the students who are going to appear in the examination, without which, a candidate is not eligible to sit for the examination
- Exemption: The above provisions shall be applicable in all states except J&K, Assam & Meghalaya.
For Students from J&K, Assam, and Meghalaya
The candidates who have passed or appeared in the Class XII examination from the states of J&K, Assam & Meghalaya (if they do not have an Aadhaar Card) need to enter their passport number, ration card number, bank account number or any other valid Govt. identity number provided.
Exam Center Selection: They should only select the city/centre of examination in these states.
For NRIs, OCI's, POI
- If they do not have Aadhaar, NRI candidates need to enter their passport numbers.
- Foreign Nationals, Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), and Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs) must enter their passport numbers.
