According to the revised NEET merit list, the total number of toppers who scored a flawless 720 has decreased from 61 to 17. On the other hand, the NEET 2024 cutoff has been dropped by two marks in each category.  

Originally, there were 67 NEET 2024 toppers. Following the removal of the grace marks, or based on the performance of the 813 applicants (who took the NEET 2024 retest organized for 1,563 candidates with grace marks), the number of toppers was decreased to 61.

According to the NEET 2024 revised merit list, the most toppers are from Rajasthan (4), followed by Maharashtra (3) and Delhi (2). Bihar, Punjab, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Chandigarh each had one topper. However, the 85% of the state quota seats and other seats in private medical and dental colleges comes under the NEET state rank list for 2024.

NEET 2024 merit list and scorecard were re-revised in accordance with the Supreme Court decision, which stated that the controversial NEET 2024 Physics question had just one correct option rather than two, as stated by NTA in the NEET 2024 final answer keys. As a result, the extra marks were revoked, and anyone who marked any response option other than option number four received a one-point deduction.
