CLAT exam centres 2023 were edited or updated by using the application correction window. Earlier, the candidates could select exam centres in Rajkot by editing the application form to add their preferred test city. Candidates could choose up to three cities as their preferred locations while filling out the application form for CLAT 2023 exam.

CLAT 2023 exam centres are decided by the Consortium of NLUs. The list of CLAT exam centres was released along with the official notification. Candidates were required to select the CLAT exam centre at the time of CLAT 2023 application. Candidates were advised to choose their exam centres thoughtfully, as once the final selection is made, they cannot get their exam centres changed.
CLAT 2023 exam centre name was changed to the centre in Kolkata. Earlier, the CLAT exam was supposed to be conducted at the University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata. But, the exam will be conducted at the Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata. However, CLAT exam centre address remains the same for the institute. In addition, NLSIU will release the general instruction for the candidates taking CLAT 2023 at the Institute.
The number of CLAT 2023 test centres has been increased, keeping the safety of candidates in mind due to the pandemic. The updated list and the official notification for CLAT 2023 regarding the same will be updated on the page below.

Changes in CLAT 2023 Exam Centres
Below mentioned are the corrections made in the CLAT Bhopal and Kolkata test centres.
- Candidates who had been allotted CLAT exam centre at Sarojini Naidu Govt Girls' Post-Graduate College, Bhopal, are hereby informed that due to unavoidable circumstances the Centre has been cancelled and candidates are assigned to other CLAT test centres within Bhopal city. Candidates are requested to log in and download their updated admit card.
- Candidates are allotted CLAT exam centers at IES College of Technology, Bhopal, please note the change in the test centre name. The new CLAT test centre name is IES Public School. The address of the test centre remains the same.
- The Kolkata CLAT exam centre name has been changed from the University of Engineering and Management, Kolkata, to the Institute of Engineering and Management, Kolkata. However, CLAT exam centre address remains the same for the institute.

How to Choose CLAT Exam Centres 2023?
At the time when the candidates would be filling out their CLAT forms, they would be asked to choose three cities where they can conveniently take the test. Out of all the options provided, the candidates must choose the three which are closest to their city of residence. They are also advised to arrange them in the order of preference, as the Consortium of NLUs tries its best to allot CLAT exam centre in the first city chosen by the candidate.
The allotment will also depend upon the capacity of CLAT 2023 exam centres situated in the city. If the number of candidates is high, or considerably lower than expected, the Consortium will allow the centre in the second city chosen by the candidate.
How to Update CLAT 2023 Exam Centre Preference?
Candidates can follow the steps discussed below to update the cities where they would prefer to appear for CLAT 2023.
- Step 1: Candidates must go to the official website of CLAT 2023.
- Step 2: Log into your CLAT 2023 user account.
- Step 3: Find and click on the "edit application" link.
- Step 4: Find the tab to update CLAT test centre preferences and click on it.
- Step 5: Choose three test centres in the order of preference and submit your choices.
Steps to Edit the CLAT Exam Centres 2023 Preference
Candidates may alter CLAT exam centres they have selected for CLAT 2023 by doing the following actions:
- Step 1: Candidates must visit consortiumofnlus.ac.in to see CLAT 2023's official webpage.
- Step 2: By entering your mobile number and password, access your CLAT account.
- Step 3: Select "Preferences" from the "edit application" menu after clicking.
- Step 4: Change the CLAT exam centres 2023 to reflect your preferences.
- Step 5: After selecting "next," check the declaration box.
- Step 6: Submit the CLAT application.
Candidates Using Scribe in CLAT 2023
Applicants who qualify as Specially Abled Persons (SAP) will have an additional 40 minutes to complete the exam. This group would include conditions like blindness, poor vision, locomotor difficulty, mental retardation, hearing loss, and other impairments. They must have a certificate of disability issued by an appropriate agency. Candidates who have disabilities can also gain from using a scribe.
Candidates must have mentioned during registration if they need a scribe during the exam. Additionally, the required documentation must be uploaded in photocopy (attested by Gazetted officers).
- A list of the necessary documents is provided below:
- A declaration stating if the candidate will bring a scribe or if the CLAT officials would supply one.
- If the candidate hires a scribe, the scribe must sign a statement promising to uphold all laws and regulations and refrain from any unethical behaviour, such as helping the candidate with their answers. They are just expected to read the questions and mark or click on the appropriate responses.
- A certificate of incapacity from the appropriate authority is needed.

Documents To Be Carried to CLAT Exam Centre
The applicants are required to carry certain documents to the exam centre to be allowed to write the exam. These documents include CLAT 2023 admit card and any of the following photo ID proofs.
- Adhaar Card
- Voter's ID Card
- Passport
- Driving License
- PAN Card
CLAT Exam Centre Instructions 2023
The candidates will find CLAT exam centre allotted to them mentioned in their CLAT hall tickets. CLAT hall ticket will also contain certain instructions which the candidates will be expected to abide by, once they reach CLAT exam centre. Some of those instructions are discussed below:
- It is mandatory for all the candidates to carry a printout of CLAT admit card, along with a government-issued photo ID proof, to CLAT exam centre.
- The candidates must refrain from bringing their valuable, personal belongings to CLAT exam centre, as CLAT centre may or may not have the facility to store the article safely.
- The candidates must refrain from bringing books, study notes, phones, or any other articles of a similar kind.
- Entry to CLAT exam centre will not be allowed if the candidate is not wearing a face mask.
- The candidates are advised to report to the mentioned examination centre at least 45 minutes before the given reporting time.
- In view of COVID-19, the consortium has issued a medical self-declaration form along with the admit card. Candidates are advised to sign the declaration and carry it with them on CLAT exam day.
CLAT 2023 Exam Day Instructions: Do's and Don'ts
Below are the Do's mentioned for the candidates to keep in mind.
- Use only Blue or Black pen to mark answers on the OMR sheet.
- Answers should be shaded completely.
- Revise the paper in the last 10-15 minutes.
- Once the exam is done, collect a copy of the OMR sheet for your record.
Below are the Don'ts mentioned for the candidates to keep in mind.
- Do not spend too much time on a question.
- Avoid negative marking by not attempting the questions you are doubtful about.
- Do not read new topics in the last hour of the examination.
CLAT 2023 Exam Day Instructions for PwD/SAP Candidates
The conducting body has released a set of instructions for PwD/SAP candidates appearing for CLAT 2023 exam. The instructions include the criteria based on which the candidates must arrange for a scribe for the exam. The candidates must then inform the Regional Coordinator and Zonal Coordinator of the exam centre chosen.
These candidates will be given an additional 40 minutes to complete CLAT exam. The candidates must go through the instructions and complete the formalities to appear for CLAT exam.
