The tentative dates for VITEEE 2021 are from May 28, 2021 to May 31, 2021. VITEEE Exam Pattern 2021 Highlights

The VITEEE exam pattern 2021 will give candidates various insights into the exam like the mode of the exam, the duration of the paper, marking scheme, etc. By going through the VITEEE 2021 exam pattern, candidates can plan their preparation process and formulate the right strategy to score the maximum marks in the examination. As mentioned in the VITEEE 2021 exam pattern table above, the examination is a computer-based test that is for a duration of 2 hours and 30 minutes or 150 minutes in total. There 6 sections in the question paper and students will have to attempt only 5 as they will have to choose between attempting Mathematics or Biology based on the combination or course that they have opted for. The 5 sections in the VITEEE 2021 exam are:

  • Mathematics/ Biology
  • Physics
  • Chemistry
  • English
  • Aptitude

There will be 125 questions in total for 1 mark each, which means that the total marks of the paper will amount to 125. In terms of the marking scheme, +1 marks will be awarded for every right answer and there is no negative marking for wrong responses or unanswered questions.

The VITEEE exam pattern 2021 will also display the section-wise marks distribution in the exam. The VITEEE 2021 section-wise marks distribution is as follows:

  • Candidates can either opt for the MPCEA combination (Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude) or the BPCEA combination (Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English and Aptitude) and they can make this choice by attempting either Mathematics or Biology while writing the examination
  • Candidates that opt for Mathematics will be eligible to apply for all the B.Tech courses across all the VIT campuses
  • Those that opt for Biology will be eligible to apply for B.Tech in Biotechnology, B.Tech in Bioengineering, B.Tech in CSE (Specialization in Bioinformatics) and B.Tech in ECE (Specialization in Biomedical Engineering) at the Vellore and Bhopal campuses
  • Candidates must carefully go through the VITEEE 2021 syllabus. Based on the marking scheme, candidates will be able to gauge which section needs the most attention in terms of preparation
  • The syllabus and questions will be a combination of the Tamil Nadu State Board and CBSE (NCERT)

VITEEE 2021 Syllabus

The VITEEE exam pattern and syllabus will give candidates adequate insights into the preparation and strategy required to score the maximum marks in the VITEEE 2021 exam. As per the VITEEE 2021 exam pattern, there will be no negative markings for wrong answers (or unanswered queries), hence giving candidates the advantage of scoring well without the fear of being penalized for wrong answers. The VITEEE syllabus has subjects and topics that will be asked from the class 11 and 12 syllabi in accordance with the Tamil Nadu State Board and CBSE (NCERT).
