VITEEE 2019 Description 

Nationality

  • Indian Nationals and Non-resident Indians can apply for VITEEE 2019.

  • Foreign nationals can apply through the Foreign National Application form.

Qualification

  • Student should have Passed 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board / Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi) / The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination -ISCE, New Delhi to be eligible for VITEEE 2019.

  • Student should have cleared Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board / University to apply for VITEEE 2019.

  • High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University / International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva.

  • General Certificate Education (GCE) examination (London/ Cambridge/ Srilanka) at the Advanced (A) level.

  • Students from National Institute for Open Learning (NIOP) can also fill the VITEEE 2019 application form.

  • Except for NIOS, all aspirants should have studied under regular, full time and formal education.

Minimum Marks

  • Candidates should have secured a minimum of 60% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology taken together in 10+2 or equivalent exam.

  • Candidates belonging to SC/ ST categories and North-East should have secured a minimum aggregate of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/ Biology.

  • Students who have studied Maths, Biology, Chemistry & Physics are eligible to appear for the examination.

Age criteria

  • Candidate should have born on or after 1st July 1996.

VITEEE 2019 Eligibility Criteria Details:

  • Age Limit: The candidates must be born on or after 1st July 1996. The date of birth recorded in class x/ High school certificate will only be considered for the online.

  • Qualification: The candidates need to have all the qualifications mentioned below to meet the eligibility criteria for VITEEE 2019.

    • The candidate has to complete the final examination of the 10+2 system of Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the State Board; Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE, New Delhi), The Council for Indian School Certificate Examination -ISCE, New Delhi for the eligibility criteria of VITEEE 2019.

    • The candidate must have completed the Intermediate or Two-year Pre-University Examination conducted by a recognized Board/ University for the eligibility criteria of VITEEE 2019.

    • The candidate should have completed the High School Certificate Examination of the Cambridge University or International Baccalaureate Diploma of the International Baccalaureate Office, Geneva for the eligibility criteria of VITEEE 2019.

  • Minimum Score: Candidates who will appear on VITEEE 2019 Exam Date should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).The candidates belonging to the SC/ST sections or the North Eastern states need to have an aggregate score of 50% to be on the eligibility criteria list for the VITEEE 2019.
  • NIOS: VITEEE 2019 is also open for NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling). They should produce the Migration Cum Transfer Certificate at the time of joining. 

  • Full-time schooling: The candidates must have done full-time schooling and not part-time schooling, as it would be against the rules.

  • Biology Courses: If the VIT applicant has also taken up biology in his/her schooling, he/she can apply for any of the 3 biology courses at VITEEE - Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Genetics and Applied Microbiology.

  • Other Courses: The eligibility criteria for courses like Architecture, Advanced Sciences, Civil and Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Information Technology & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Social Sciences&Languages, Business School and Law School varies according to their departmental needs.

  • VIT Law School: The chances of admission will be boosted for VIT Law School if there are any relevant work experiences along with the satisfaction of all the conditions of the VITEEE 2019 eligibility criteria. Applicants aiming to join VIT Law School should necessarily appear for CAT/XAT/MAT/GMAT/CMAT and these scores should be made available to the official VIT administrative office before the deadline to be made eligible for admission in VIT.

Age Proof for VITEEE 2019:

Candidate should be born on or after July 1, 1996. Candidates must submit any of the following certificates only as proof of age:

  • High School

  • SSC

  • Class X

Note: 

  • Candidates who will fulfil the eligibility criteria and fill the application form will be issued the VITEEE 2019 Admit Card.

  • Original certificates must be produced at the time of VITEEE 2019 counselling.

To be eligible to appear for VITEEE, the candidate:

  • The eligible applicant must be born on or after 1st July 1995.
  • To be eligible, one must have cleared 12th standard(compulsory subject being math and an optional subject being biology).
  • VITEEE is also open for NIOS.
  • All VIT eligible students must have studied either regular type of education or full-time education and not part-time otherwise the entire application is discarded, overruling eligibility.
  • Even when the eligibility criteria are met with, the applicant aspiring a seat at VIT can only get one course out of the 18 available course at VITEEE. 
  • If the VIT applicant has also taken up biology in his schooling, he is eligible to apply for any of the 3 biology courses at VITEEE - Biotechnology, Biomedical Engineering, Biomedical Genetics and Applied Microbiology.

The eligibility criteria for VITEEE 2017 is given below:

  • Candidates whose date of birth falls on or after 1st July 1995 are eligible to apply for VITEEE-2017
  • Candidates appearing for the VITEEE in 2017 should have secured an aggregate of 60% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology in the qualifying examination (+2/Intermediate).
  • The average marks obtained in the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Biology (PCM / PCB) in + 2 (or its equivalent) put together should be 50% for the SC/ST & North Eastern State.
  • Candidates who have studied in Regular, Full Time and Formal Education are alone eligible to apply.
  • 'NIOS' candidates are eligible to appear for the VITEEE-2017.

The candidates must have cleared intermediate with minimum 60% marks from a well-known education board that is CBSE, ICSE or any other recognized board to be eligible. The candidate is not eligible because he has scored 55% in his intermediate exam.

The cutoff for VITEEE changes every year but according to the statistics, the eligibility for VIT first round counseling ends at 20,000.
