  • About: Karunya Entrance Examination or KEE is an entrance exam conducted by Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences every year for all the candidates who wish to apply for Engineering (B.Tech) or Pure sciences courses. A Deemed University declared under Section 3 of UGC Act, 1956. It is accredited "A Grade" by NAAC (National Assessment and Accreditation Council)

KEE 2019 Important Dates

  • Application Form: The application form to apply for KEE 2019 will be made available to all registering candidates from 20th November 2018 to 5th March 2019.

  • Application Mode: The application will be available in the online mode.

  • Admit card: The KEE 2019 admit card will be made available to all registered candidates from 26th April 2019  and it can be downloaded from the official KEE 2019 website.

  • Results: The results will be declared by the conducting authority on 30th April 2019 (tentative).

KEE 2019 Eligibility Criteria

  • Eligibility Criteria: All the candidates applying for KEE 2019 need to have Class XII/PUC equivalent certification with them.

  • Age criteria: Candidates should be at least 17 years and should be less than 21 years of age.

  • Minimum marks: All the candidates require a minimum of 50% marks in PCM (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics) subjects, on their Class XII/PUC final examinations.

KEE 2019 Application Form

  • Application Availability: The application form will be available from 20th November 2018  on the official university website.

  • Details: All the registering candidates are required to enter details such as personal details, qualification details, contact details, course etc, in the application form available. All the details entered must be genuine and self-verified by the candidate.

  • Mode of payment: The payment for the application fee can be completed through the official website, using the online portal with Credit/Debit cards or Net banking.

  • Print Out : Candidates should take the printout of the application form for future reference.

KEE 2019 Exam Pattern 

  • Mode & Design: The KEE 2019 Exam will be an online examination. The KEE 2019 question will be divided into four sections and the maximum score obtainable will be 120 marks.

  • Question Type: Exam pattern consists of multiple choice questions.

  • Duration & Marking: All candidates appearing for KEE 2019 can take up to 2 hours and 30 minutes to finish the exam. All correct answers will be awarded +1 mark and -0.25 will be deducted for each wrong answer.

KEE 2019 Admit Card

  • Availability: Admit card will be available from 26th April 2019. 

  • Gaining Access: To gain access to his/her admit card, the candidate must first log in to his/her account on the official website, with the credentials provided (Registration number and password).

  • Information on the admit card: The admit card issued for all the registered candidates will carry important information including the personal details like name and address of the candidate as well as other details like the examination date and examination venue allocated for the candidate.

  • Documents: It is mandatory for all students to carry a copy of the admit card when they appear for the KEE 2019 examination.

KEE 2019 Syllabus 

  • Syllabus: The syllabus for KEE 2019 will follow a combination of both Class XI/PUC 1st Year and Class XII/PUC 2nd Year portions.

  • Subjects: KEE 2019 will focus on the core subject combination of PCM or PCB (Physics/Chemistry/Mathematics/Biology).

KEE 2019 Exam Centres

  • Centres: KEE 2019 exam will be conducted in 79 test centres across India.

  • Selection: Candidates can select the KEE 2019 exam centres according to their preference.

KEE 2019 Results

  • Declaration of Results: The results for KEE 2019 is expected to be declared on the official website by 30th April 2019

  • Credentials: The results will be made available for all the candidates who appeared for the KEE 2019 examination on the official website. To view the result the candidate has to log in to his/her account with his/her registration number and password given at the time of the registration process.

  • Print Out: Candidates are required to save a copy of the scorecard or results as it will be asked during the admission process.

KEE 2019 Counselling

  • Availability: KEE 2019 exam counselling commences from 5th May 2019. 

  • Counselling: All the candidates shortlisted for counselling based on their performance and ranking in the written examination can register themselves for the counselling process.

KEE 2019 FAQs

Q: What is the marking scheme for KEE?

One mark will be allotted for every correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer.

Q: Is age limit set as the criteria for the candidates to apply for the exam?

Yes. Candidates who wish to apply for the exam should be between 17 to 21 years of age.

Q: What is the application fee?

The application fee will be INR 1000 for Indian nationals. For foreign nationals and NRI candidates, the fee will be USD 60.

Q: Can the application fee paid through DD?

No. The application form fee can be paid using online payments and electronic payment, but not through DD.

Q: Can a candidate change the selected exam centre?

No. The exam centre once selected cannot be changed.

Q: What is the minimum qualification required for a candidate to apply for the exam?

A candidate should have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate in their class XII/ PUC 2nd year with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as the main subjects.

Q: Will the admission fee be refunded if a candidate wishes to cancel his/her admission?

Yes. The admission fee will be refunded according to the rules and regulations. Candidates are eligible to get refund only if they apply on or before the last date.

Q: How much fee can be refunded by a candidate?

An enrolled candidate can get a refund of 80% of the fee if he/she asks for refund within 15 days of enrollment. 50% of the fee can be refunded within 16 to 30 days from enrollment. No fee can be refunded if a candidate asks for refund after 30 days of enrollment.

Q: Can the application form be filled in the offline mode?

No, the application form cannot be filled in offline mode. Candidates can avail the application form from the official website of the university.

Eligibility Criteria Summary for KEE 2019:

  • B.Tech. - 4 years: The candidates must have obtained 50 % aggregate in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in 10+2 or equivalent examination.

  • B.Tech. Lateral Entry - 3 years: The candidate must hold a Qualifying Diploma or B.Sc with at least 60 % aggregate.

  • M.Tech. - 2 years: The candidate must hold a qualifying degree or equivalent with at least 50% marks.

  • The selection process is as below: -

    • Karunya University will not conduct any separate entrance test for admission.
    • Candidates will be admitted provisionally based on their qualification marks in their final year examination and also based on the eligibility requirements set by the university.
    • Candidates have to submit the requisite amount before the specified date.
    • All the candidates, however, have to appear in an entrance test during the provisional admission process.
    • Their admission will be confirmed based on the scores of the entrance test and after they meet the eligibility norms.
    • Candidates can also get the refund on fees provided they fill the application form for a refund.

  • Karunya University was a Christian minority institution and is recognised by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The campus spans over 700 acres of land and it is attached to the University Grant Commission.

    KEE 2017 is a national level engineering entrance exam conducted by Karunya University, Coimbatore for interested students who are seeking admissions in B.Tech.courses. To appear for this exam, candidates must fill the application form which will be available from December 2016 on the official website of the university.
