Placements & Internships : Internship and Placement structure is not very well developed in IITM. Opportunuties are many but there is barrier on applying. Also its very baised to CGPA.  Mock tests are conducted, every month mails come for Internship oppornuities restricted to departments/clubs . Mostly all Internship give a stipend and they pay good. Also Internship is compulsay in IITM for evry students and it is credited.   Companies coming from sector :- IT, Finance, COre(Speciifc to each departments), Startups. Also there plenty foreign internship opportunities for students with scholarship by IITM(one time only) No idea over Salary fig.  There is special team for ALumni Connect team I&AR enquire them for details.

Academics & Faculty : Daily routine is good. 8 AM class commences and it goes till 4:30 PM. Exams are tough but there are plenty of assignmnets given and graded which ensure you atleast pass. There is not much project orientaition in Academics. But there are clubs which one can join and pursue a project of his interest. Quality and method of teaching is good. Many teachers teach in a practical way, more examples, more real life examples and problems a challenge to think. College is amazing more exposure to extra curicular, co-curicular. Students efficiency inceases alot and anyone institute is never free always engrosed in some or the other activity. 

Fees & Scholarships : The fee is around INR 51000/- for academics + 20000 for hostel and mess facilities. There are many ways in which IITM offers scholarship. Based on economical background, Performance in Academics, Performance in Co-Curricular/ Extra Curricular . I dont know the exact number, but 2/8 students based on criteria mentioned above get scholarship. Yes there is availability of tax free loans given IITM in favour to students. SBI is the main operating bank in Institute.

College Infrastructure & Hostel Facilities : I have mentioned hostel fees earlier and number of hostels including newly bulit are 20 .(girls included) There are n number of food stallls, canteen, hotels and 6 mess to choose where to eat. MOst of them are open 24hrs. Classrooms are kept good with proper maintainance, A/C facilities is not there in many departments though. Wifi Is available at most places in Institute.  Library is 6 floored A/c and wifi fully with a computer facility room. Labs and Dinning hall are okay not so proper maintaned tentatively.

Clubs & Associations : There many clubs insude IITM for activites of Tech, CLuture, Entrepreneurship, Arts, Sports. Shaastra Tech fest, Saraang Clutural fest, E-Summit Entrepreneurial Fest and & other each departmental festival. College life is amanzing with good amount of pain .
