NATA Dress Code 2024: Do’s and Don’ts

NATA Dress Code 2024 is not defined by the exam conducting body. However, some rules must be followed by all the candidates to avoid any kind of hassle on exam day. The NATA exam dress code for male and female candidates is simple clothes. Apart from that, candidates must abide by all the exam day guidelines. 

National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) is an undergraduate entrance examination conducted for admissions into architecture courses.

NATA Dress Code 2024

As mentioned above, there is no specific NATA dress code 2024. Candidates appearing for the exam can follow the guidelines detailed in the brochure for their knowledge. However, here are some general NATA dress code 2024 guidelines.

Female Dress Code for NATA 2024

Here are some of the NATA dress code 2024 for all females. 

• Candidates should wear plain and simple clothes and avoid wearing clothes that have too many pockets. 
• Accessories like headbands, scarves, stoles, dupattas, and goggles should be strictly avoided. 
• No fashion jewellery must be worn to the exam centre. 
• Candidates must avoid thick-soled shoes and heels. 
• No handkerchief or loose cloth must be carried to the examination hall.

Male NATA Dress Code 2024

As mentioned in the points, male candidates must follow the NATA Dress code 2024.

• Candidates must not wear cargo or trousers that have too many pockets. 
• Plain shirts/T-shirts must be worn. Avoid wearing graphic t-shirts and printed shirts. 
• No bracelets, fashion rings, or headgear must be worn. 
• Apart from that, candidates must also avoid wearing boots or shoes. Plain chappals will do. 
• Lastly, no metallic objects are to be carried under the dress. 

Customary Dress Code for NATA 2024

Suppose candidates are from a different background where they have to follow the custom of wearing headgear, turbans, or a specific dress. In that case, they must reach the exam centre early to complete the additional checks.

Apart from that, there is no restriction on wearing these customary dresses under the NATA dress code 2024.

List of Barred Items Under Dress Code for NATA 2024

Here is the list of items that are barred inside the examination hall and also fall under the dress code for NATA 2024:

• No fashion accessories are allowed inside the exam hall.
• Candidates must not carry any electronic devices such as Bluetooth, pagers, mobile, or any other electronic communication device. 
• Further, no chits and notes are allowed inside the examination hall.
• Candidates must follow the dress code for NATA 2024 and avoid thick-soled shoes. 
• Lastly, no one should be found possessing any consumables or smoking goods. 

Documents to be Carried in the NATA Examination Hall

Only a few documents are necessary for the NATA examination day. The list of items necessary for the examination, as mentioned in the official NATA brochure, are as follows:

• Downloaded Admit Card of NATA- 2024.
• Original Proof of Identity (any one): 
• Aadhar/ Passport
• Driving License
• Voter ID/Valid Photo
• ID document

NATA Exam Day Guidelines

All the candidates appearing for the exam must follow the guidelines released by the conducting authority, including the dress code for NATA. The guidelines for the exam are as follows:

• Carrying the admit card is a must; it will be treated as a ticket to the exam. 
• Each NATA exam centre will be sprayed with disinfectant, including the floor, walls, gates, doors etc. Sanitiser bottles and liquid hand wash will be kept at the entry gate, exam room, staff/observer room, etc.
• Each candidate must undergo a thermal screening before entering the examination hall. 
• Further, during the entire examination process, the invigilators will wear masks and hand gloves. 
• The seating arrangement and washrooms will be sanitized, and candidates must maintain the protocol.
• Candidates must sign their health declaration form before entering the examination hall. Candidates who fail the thermo gum test will be barred from appearing in the exam. 
• Additionally, candidates with disabilities must report to the exam centre early and mention their disability while filling out the application form. Necessary arrangements will be made for them. 
• All candidates must download the ‘Arogya Setu’ App with enabled active live location as it is mandatory for every staff on examination duty and students.
• There will be no thermal scanning for candidates wearing face masks and sanitizing their hands. No covid positive candidates will be allowed. 
• Moreover, candidates are suggested to sanitize their hands after they sign the attendance register.

Do’s and Don’ts of NATA Exam 2024 

With the NATA dress code 2024, candidates must also remember the do’s and don’ts specified by the officials. Here is the list for reference.

Do’s

• Candidates are advised to carefully read the instructions before filling out the application form.
• All the candidates must enter their personal details, address, and birth date as mentioned on the birth certificate.
• Noting down the security question while filling up the application form is suggested. 
• Additionally, candidates must choose the exam centre close to their vicinity and upload the image and signature in the specified format. 
• Candidates are also advised to keep the application form safe until admission.
• Along with following the dress code for NATA 2024, every candidate must carry the admit card and go to the examination hall without fail.

Don’ts

• Candidates are strongly suggested not to share their application number, password, and security questions with anybody.
• Additionally, candidates must not use any mobile number not in use while filling up the application.
• The candidates are advised to ensure that the e-mail address furnished in the application form is active, failing which they may face serious problems in future correspondence.
• Moreover, candidates must not upload pictures with poor resolution.
• Lastly, candidates should not carry any items that are mentioned in the list of barred items.
