JESNU Exam Pattern 2021: Marking Scheme, Negative Marking, Total Marks

 JESNU Exam Pattern 2021 

Structure: JESNU 2021 exam will have seven different modules, namely

  • Basic English
  • Basic Mathematics
  • General Knowledge/ awareness
  • Social Science
  • Logical Reasoning
  • Physical Science
  • Life Science

The candidates will have to answer any five. If candidates attempt more than five modules, then his/her scores will be considered in the best of five modules.

B.A. (Hons) in English Basic English
B. Sc (Hons) in Economics Basic Mathematics
B.Tech (Computer Sc & Business Systems) Physical Science, Basic Mathematics

All questions will be of Multiple Choice Questions  (MCQ),  with four options. Each module will have 10 questions of 2 marks each. The total marks for the examination will be 100. The candidates will be provided 90 minutes to finish the test.

Mode of Answering

The question is to be answered in the OMR sheet. There will be four alternative option for each question, candidates will respond to the question by darkening the correct answer with blue/black ballpoint pen.

Any other kind of marking e.g. filling the bubble incompletely, filling with pencil, cross mark, tick mark, dot mark, circular mark, overwriting, scratching, erasing, white ink, marking outside the bubble, etc. may lead to wrong/partial/ambiguous reading of the response.  Once the candidates have marked the answer, the same cannot be edited/changed/erased/modified. 

Marking Pattern

  • Every correct answer will fetch 2 marks.
  • Every incorrect answer will result in the deduction of 25% of the marks allotted for every question.
  • No marks will be deducted for any unanswered question.
