BCECE eligibility criteria 2024 will be specified by the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board for the Engineering and Pharmacy courses. Indian National applicants from Bihar who meet the basic eligibility criterion can enroll for BCECE 2024. Candidates must have a minimum of 45% in the necessary subjects in Class 12th to be eligible for the exam.

There is no maximum age limit restriction for appearing in BCECE 2024 except for the Pharmacy course. Applicants appearing for the Pharmacy course must be 17 years old. Educational Qualification

  • Engineering/Technology (Four Years Program): Candidates must complete their higher secondary or equivalent education with a minimum of 45% or above and take up either Mathematics or Physics as mandatory subjects and Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical as one of the optional subjects.
  • Four years program in Pharmacy: Candidates must have passed their 12th exams or equivalent examinations with Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects and obtaining a minimum percentage of 45% or above and Mathematics/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject as one of the elective subjects.

Domicile

One of the following domicile BCECE criteria has to be fulfilled by the candidates or else their application form might get rejected.

  • The candidate's parents are permanent residents of Bihar. or,
  • The applicant's parents are registered refugees in Bihar. or,
  • Theirs parents are residents of other states but are employees of Govt. Of Bihar. or,
  • Their parents are employees of national unions and are currently posted in Bihar.

BCECE Physical Examination

  • Appointed doctors will conduct medical examinations for the selected candidates. They will be admitted only if they clear the medical examination, including separate fees.

BCECE Age Limit

  • There is no upper age limit criteria for admission to BCECE 2024 courses.
  • However, applicants wishing to apply for the Pharamacy course must be of minimum 16 years.

BCECE eligibility criteria 2024 for candidates who want to participate in the private pilot license course have been listed below based on various categories.

Education Qualification

Candidates must fulfil the following BCECE educational qualifications for a Private Pilot License (PPL) course.

  • Candidates should have passed ISC/10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% and studied Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects. or,
  • Applicants should have passed a B.Sc course with a minimum of 50% and the subjects mentioned above.

  • The minimum age limit for a candidate to apply for Private Pilot License -PPL course is 17 years.

BCECE Reservation Criteria 2024

BCECE reservation criteria 2024 of seats is done according to the norms of the Government of Bihar. Some important BCECE 2024 reservation criteria instructions are listed below.

  • Residents of Bihar who have been categorized as reserved and possess a caste certificate from the Government of Bihar proving the same will be able to take advantage of the reserved seats.
  • Non-resident candidates are not eligible to claim seats under the reserved category in colleges in Bihar, according to the Government of Bihar.
  • The Government of Bihar will prepare and approve a list to decide the BCECE 2024 reservation criteria for SC/ ST/ EBC/ BC categories.

BCECE 2024 Reservation for the Disabled Quota

Candidates applying for BCECE reservations under the disability quota should carefully review the guidelines before applying for the exam.

  • Out of the total seats available for counselling in each college, 3% will be reserved for candidates claiming seats under the disability quota. If the Government of Bihar releases any new order before the start of the online application form, then the order released will be followed as the new reservation provision for disabled candidates.
  • Candidates with a disability should get their certificate attested by the Chief Medical Officer/Board and affix the certificate with Part A and Part B forms with an attested full-sized photograph. The certificate must explain the category, percentage, status of disability, etc.
  • Candidates claiming seats through the disabled quota will be admitted only to those programs in which the disability does not hinder the successful completion of the program. They will be permitted to pursue any course only after a thorough checkup. There would be an additional fee for this checkup from the counselling fee.

BCECE 2024 Criteria for Service Men Quota (SMQ)

Applicants applying under the Service Men's Quota (SMQ) category should follow the following guidelines before completing the online application form for BCECE 2024.

  • Sons and daughters of servicemen who are residents of Bihar and Ex-servicemen are eligible to apply for SMQ seats.
  • A separate merit list for candidates applying for SMQ seats will be prepared based on the score obtained in the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination.
  • Personnel formerly served under the Jammu & Kashmir Militia should be treated as "Ex-Service Men."
  • New categories of territorial army personnel are being considered "Ex-servicemen" by the Ministry of Defense. The Categories are mentioned below.
    • Pension Holders of the continuous embodied service.
    • Disabled Territorial Army personnel with disability attributed to Military Service.
    • Family Pension Holders.
    • Gallantry Award Winners
  • The seats will remain vacant if no candidate applies under the Service Men's Quota.
  • At the time of the counselling interview, the candidate must provide all the documents, without which a quota of such candidates will not be accepted, and seats to such candidates will be allotted according to their general merit list.
  • Documents required for SQM verification are: In case of ''working service men,'' Documents verifying their service and the relation of father/mother to the candidate. In the case of ''Ex-servicemen,' Documents verifying the relation of the father/mother to the candidate and attested certificate from the District Army Development Officer.
