BCECEB specifies the eligibility criteria for the Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination. The eligibility criteria for BCECE entrance examination are given below. The students are requested to read all the points carefully and get to know whether they have the eligibility to write BCECE 2022 entrance examination. '

The eligibility criteria for BCECE comprise 3 aspects- domicile eligibility, qualification eligibility, and other eligibility. Students must keep in mind to fulfill the criteria mentioned below before filling out the application form.

BCECE 2022 Eligibility Criteria Highlights

  • The student should be an Indian citizen.
  • The student has the eligibility only if he belongs to the Bihar state i.e., is a domicile of the State of Bihar
  • The student's parents should be permanent residents of Bihar state.
  • At least, the student's parents must be a Government employee of the Bihar state.
  • The students who are willing to study agriculture and medical courses should be a complete 17 years old before 31st December of the admission year to have eligibility.
  • The students who are willing to study engineering courses don't have any age limit to have the eligibility to apply for the BCECE entrance examination.
  • The students have eligibility to get admission only if he/she undergoes a medical test and get cleared in it.

BCECE 2022 Eligibility Criteria for Various Courses

Different courses have different eligibility criteria for the BCECE Exam. Candidates can refer to the course-wise eligibility criteria before applying for the exam.

BCECE 2022 Eligibility Criteria for Engineering and Pharmacy

Candidates can go through the below eligibility criteria for Engineering and Pharmacy Course. Candidates must ensure that they are meeting the eligibility criteria listed below before filling out the application form.

Educational Qualification

  • Engineering/Technology (Four Years Program): Candidates must complete their higher secondary or equivalent education with a minimum of 45% or above and take up either Mathematics or Physics as mandatory subjects and from Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical as one of the optional subjects.
  • Four years program in Pharmacy: Candidates must have passed their 12th exams or equivalent examinations with Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects as well as obtaining a minimum percentage of 45% or above and Mathematics/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject as one of the elective subjects.

Domicile

Candidates must be a citizen of India. One of the following domicile criteria has to be fulfilled by the candidates

  • The candidate's parents are permanent residents of Bihar or
  • The candidate's parents are registered refugees in Bihar
  • The candidate's parents are residents of other states but are employees of Govt. Of Bihar
  • The candidate's parents are employees of national unions and are currently posted in Bihar.

Physical Examination

Appointed doctors will conduct medical examinations for the selected candidates. They will be admitted only if they clear the medical examination, which will also include separate fees.

Age Limit

No age limit criteria for admission to Engineering/Pharmacy courses.

BCECE 2022 Eligibility Criteria for Medical Courses

Candidates can go through the below eligibility criteria for Medical Courses. Aspirants should keep in mind that if they do not meet the eligibility at any point in time, their application can be cancelled by the authority.

Education Qualification

  • Aspirants must have passed the 12th examination or an equivalent examination in subjects such as English, Physics, Chemistry, and Botany/Zoology.
  • Minimum of 50& aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.
  • For the category of SC/ST/EBC, the minimum aggregate percentage is 40%
  • For the course of Tibbi College, Patna, Candidates should have the knowledge or study in Urdu as a full-time course.

Domicile

The domicile criteria would remain the same as mentioned above for Engineering and Pharmacy courses.

Age Limit

Candidates who are willing to study in the field of medicine must have attained the age of 17. Candidates who have their date of birth after December 31, 2000, will not be eligible.

Physical Examination

Appointed doctors will conduct medical examinations for the selected candidates. They will be admitted only if they clear the medical examination, which will also include separate fees.

BCECE 2022 Eligibility Criteria for Agriculture, Veterinary Science, and Animal Husbandry Courses

Candidates can go through the below eligibility criteria for Agriculture, Veterinary Science Animal Husbandry Course. Candidates must ensure that they are meeting the eligibility criteria listed below before filling out the application form.

BCECE 2022 Eligibility Criteria for Private Pilot License Course

The eligibility criteria for candidates who want to participate in the private pilot license course have been listed below based on various categories.

Education Qualification

Candidates must fulfil the following educational qualifications for a Private Pilot License – PPL course, candidates should have passed ISC/10+2 or equivalent examination with a minimum of 60% and studied Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects. OR. Candidates should have passed a B.Sc course with a minimum of 50% and the above-mentioned subjects.

  1. In the case of candidates applying under the SC/ST category, the minimum qualifying percentage in ISC/10+2 or equivalent examination is relaxed to 50% and studying Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects. The minimum qualifying percentage in B.Sc for SC/ST candidates has been relaxed to 45%

Domicile Criterion

Only Candidates who are permanent residents or local residents of Bihar will be considered eligible to apply for this course.

Physical Examination

The selected candidates are required to undergo a medical examination conducted by the appointed doctors. Candidates will be admitted only if they clear the medical examination. Candidates are required to pay an additional fee for this examination.

Age Limit

The minimum age limit to apply for a candidate to apply for Private Pilot License -PPL course is 17 years.

BCECE 2022 Reservation Criteria

The BCECE 2022 Reservation of seats is done according to the norms of the Government of Bihar. Some of the important instructions related to the BCECE 2022 reservation criteria have been listed below.

  • Residents of Bihar who have been categorized as reserved category and possess a caste certificate from the Government of Bihar proving the same will be able to take advantage of the reserved seats.
  • Non-resident candidates are not eligible to claim seats under the reserved category in colleges in Bihar according to the Government of Bihar.
  • The Government of Bihar will prepare and approve a list that will decide the BCECE 2022 reservation criteria for SC/ ST/ EBC/ BC categories.

The BCECE 2022 reservation seats for various reserved categories have been tabulated below. A note must be taken that the rest 50% of seats will be considered available for candidates who fall in the General Category.

BCECE 2022 Reservation for the Disabled Quota

Candidates applying for reservations under the Disability quota should carefully go through the guidelines before applying for BCECE 2022.

  • Out of the total seats available for counselling in each college, 3% of seats will be reserved for candidates claiming seats under the Disability Quota. If the Government of Bihar releases any new order before the starting of the online application form, then the order released will be followed as the new reservation provision for Disabled candidates
  • Candidates with a disability should get their certificate attested by the Chief Medical Officer/Board and affix the certificate with Part A and Part B forms with an attested full-sized photograph. The certificate must explain the category, percentage, status of disability, etc.
  • Candidates claiming seats through the disabled quota will be admitted only to those programs in which the disability does not hinder the successful completion of the program. They will be permitted to pursue any course only after a thorough checkup. There would be an additional fee for this check-up from the counselling fee.

BCECE 2022 for Service Men Quota (SMQ)

Applicants applying under Service Men's Quota (SMQ) category should go through the following guidelines before filling out the online application form for BCECE:

  • Sons and daughters of servicemen who are residents of Bihar and Ex-servicemen are eligible to apply for SMQ seats.
  • A separate merit list for candidates applying for SMQ seats based on the score obtained in Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination 2021 would be prepared.
  • Personnel who served formerly under Jammu & Kashmir Militia should be treated as “Ex-Service Men”.
  • New Categories of Territorial Army personnel who are being considered as “Ex-Service Men” by the Ministry of Defense. The Categories are
  1.  Pension Holders of the continuous embodied service.
  2.  Disabled Territorial Army personnel with disability attributed to Military Service.
  3.  Family Pension Holders.
  4.  Gallantry Award Winners
  • The seats would remain vacant, if there is no candidate applying under the Service Men's Quota.
  • At the time of counseling/interview the candidate needs to provide all the documents, without which quota of such candidates will not be accepted and seats to such candidates will be allotted according to their general merit list.
  • Documents required for SMQ verification are: In case of ‘working service men’, Documents verifying their service and the relation of father/mother to the candidate. In the case of ‘Ex-servicemen’Documents verifying the relation of the father/mother to the candidate and attested certificate from the District Army Development Officer.
