BCECE Merit List 2024: Dates, Download Rank List PDF

BCECE Merit List 2024 will be released on the official website at bceceboard.bihar.gov.in. The BCECE Rank List will be created after the results are announced. Candidates can access the Merit List by entering their roll number and date of birth. 

The BCECE 2024 exam is scheduled to be held in April 2024. The results are expected to be published in June 2024. Candidates will be called for counselling based on their BCECE 2024 Merit List Rank. Candidates must clear the cut off mark to participate in the BCECE counselling 2024 process.

The BCECE Merit List 2024 will be available for download on the official website. Candidates can follow the steps given below to access the BCECE Merit List.

• Step 2. Click on the 'BCECE Merit List' notification in the Download Section.
• Step 3. Login using BCECE Application ID and Date of Birth.
• Step 4. The BCECE Merit List will be displayed on the screen.
• Step 5. Save and download the BCECE Merit List PDF.

How is the BCECE Rank List Prepared?

The BCECE (Bihar Combined Entrance Competitive Examination) Merit List is prepared based on the performance of candidates in the entrance examination. The process generally involves the following steps:

• Scoring in the Entrance Exam: Candidates' scores in the BCECE entrance exam are the primary criteria for merit list preparation. The exam evaluates candidates' knowledge and skills in subjects relevant to the courses they are applying for.
• Normalisation Process (if applicable): In cases where multiple sets of question papers are used, a normalisation process may be applied to ensure fairness in evaluating candidates across different sets.
• Rank Calculation: The ranks are then calculated based on the total marks obtained by candidates. Those with higher scores generally secure higher ranks.
• Category-wise Merit List: BCECE may prepare merit lists based on categories (General, SC, ST, OBC, etc.). Candidates are ranked within their respective categories.
• Tie-Breaking Criteria: Tie-breaking criteria are applied if two or more candidates secure the same total marks. This could involve considering the candidate's age, percentage of qualifying exam marks, or other predefined rules.

Factors Affecting BCECE Merit List

The factors affecting the BCECE Merit List are given below:

BCECE 2024 Cut Off

Candidates who wish to take the BCECE examination must achieve a score equal to or greater than the cut off percentage or marks set by the authority. Those who meet or exceed the BCECE Cut Off 2024 score will qualify for the exam and have their names published on the BCECE Merit List 2024.

The BCECE 2024 exam authority will prepare rank lists for six subject groups, and each group's criteria for resolving ties are different. The subject groups can be tabulated as follows:

Tie-Breaking Process for BCECE Exam

The tie-breaking policy for BCECE Rank List 2024 is given below:

• For PCM and PCB, the Mathematics and Biology grades will be considered if two applicants have the same grade. The older applicant will be given a higher rank if the tie persists. 
• A merit list will be prepared based on the Biology (PCB) or Mathematics (PCM) marks for CBA, MBA, MCA, and PCM-Biology. The older applicant will be given a higher rank if the tie persists.
• For BCECE (Agriculture), the result will be prepared based on the Agriculture marks, and the older applicant will be given a higher rank if the tie persists.

What is After BCECE Rank List 2024? 

After the BCECE Merit List 2024 is released, candidates who have qualified for the entrance test based on the BCECE Rank List will be called for counselling based on their rank on this list. The counselling process involves seat allocation based on the candidate's rank, the availability of seats, and their choices. 

Candidates who score less than the BCECE Cut Off marks will not be allowed to participate in the admission process. The BCECE conducting authority reserves a certain percentage of seats for certain candidates of reserved categories.

BCECE Counselling Process

To secure admission to their preferred institutes, BCECE candidates must register on the official website, fill in their preferred institutes, and submit their choices online. Seats are allotted based on merit ranks and choices submitted. 

After shortlisting, candidates must report to the assigned nodal centre for document verification. Finally, candidates must visit their allotted institutes, verify their documents again, and pay the required admission fee to confirm their admission.
