For AIBE exam qualification candidates are required to hold a Bachelor of Law (LLB) degree (either 3 years or 5 years). No minimum percentage is required in the qualifying examination to appear for AIBE XVIII (18) 2023 Exam.

Note: Even if the candidate has satisfied/completed all formalities related to the application but is found not complying with the eligibility criteria, their admission will be cancelled.

AIBE Exam Eligibility: Physically Challenged Candidates

The Bar Council has not provided any set of rules for the eligibility criteria for physically challenged candidates, although candidates must provide a PwD certificate during the registration process.

Candidates claiming as physically challenged will be provided an extra time for the completion of exam, and they must be careful during the registration process, and upload all the relevant documents. 

AIBE XVIII (18) Eligibility for Obtaining COP

The All India Bar Examination will declare the candidate as qualified for the AIBE XVIII (18) exam only when the test takers have scored minimum marks in the AIBE exam. For qualified candidates, a Certificate of Practice (COP) will be issued.

The minimum marks to be scored by the candidate are based on the categories to which they belong. The general category candidates must score a minimum of 40% out of the total score, while the reserved categories must score 35% out of the total score to declare as qualified in the AIBE exam.
