Since 2019, admissions in B.Des courses offered at Symbiosis School of Planning, Architecture, and Design (SSPAD), Nagpur is also been done through the SEED exam.
SEED entrance exam 2023 is held to evaluate candidates on different parameters such as color, geometry, visual observations, general design awareness, creative thinking abilities, and awareness of Indian culture, craft, traditions, etc., involved in designing. SEED is an objective exam with multiple-choice questions.
Based on candidates performance in the SEED Exam, they are offered admission in Bachelor of Design (B.Des) programs offered in disciplines such as Graphic Design (GD), Video Film Design (VFD), Animation Film Design (AFD), User Experience Design (UED), Product Design (PD), Interior Space Design (ISD), Fashion Design (FD) and Fashion Communication (FC) offered at SID.

Candidates must have passed 10+2 or 10+3 (Diploma) or equivalent from a recognized university/board with a minimum of 50% marks for general category and 45% for SC/ ST category candidates. SEED 2023 will be conducted offline i.e. Pen & Paper-based Test (PBT) at 80 test cities across India. The question paper will be of Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ). SEED 2022 mock test link was activated on Jan 12, 2023, and the mock test exam was conducted till Jan 13, 2023. Candidates who have registered for SEED 2023 exam are advised to take the mock test for better exam preparation.
