WBJEE JELET Counselling 2023 Procedure

The JELET counselling process 2023 will consist of two processes which are seat allotment and document verification. The candidates need to register themselves online on the WBJEEB website. After the registration and original document verification, the counselling process will start. The eligible candidates must report to the allotted centre on the allotted date of counselling.

WBJEE JELET Counselling Highlights 2023

WBJEE JELET counselling 2023 registration process will begin after the exam results are declared. The seat allotment will be published after considering the marks obtained by the candidates and other factors, after which, the shortlisted candidates must report to their allotted institutes for document verification and admission. Candidates must check the official website regularly as the officials have chosen no other method to notify the position of JELET seat allotment.

JELET 2023 counselling process can be extended to two rounds if the seats remain vacant at the participating colleges. Candidates will have to submit the admission fee and fee of the current semester to avail of admission within due time. If the candidate fails to do so, their admission will be cancelled. Also, the candidate will be required to undergo document verification, for which they must be prepared.

• Counselling: Candidates who get shortlisted based on the qualifying exam scores will be called for the WBJEE JELET 2023 counselling process which will be held after the announcement of the merit list.
• Shortlisted: Candidates who have been shortlisted based on the merit list will be called for further JELET counselling process 2023 which will be conducted in the specified college/ institute on the specified date.
• JELET Counselling Procedure: The counselling procedure will consist of verification of entrance exam score/rank, seat allotment, and document verification. The counselling process will be done in offline mode.
• Appear: All the candidates must appear themselves on the day of counselling, no other person is allowed to appear on behalf of the concerned person.
• Required Documents: Candidates who are selected or wait-listed, must bring with them admit card, required photographs, requisite fee, and the original and self-attested photocopies of all those marks sheets/ certificates which are required to be attached along with the admission application form.  Admission shall not be given to the candidates in the absence of any of these required documents.

WBJEE JELET Counselling 2023 Eligibility

Before registering themselves for the counselling the candidates need to check the WB JELET 2023 counselling eligibility. Find below the eligibility criteria candidates need to fulfil for the JELET counselling process.

• The candidates must have appeared and qualified for the JELET 2023 examination and obtained the General Merit Rank (GMR).
• Candidates must have registered for JELET counselling 2023 online.

Details Required for WBJEE JELET Counselling 2023 Registration

WBJEE JELET 2023 counselling registration window will be activated soon on the official website after the result is declared. The candidates need to register themselves online and pay the registration fee of INR 500 online mode. Below are the details to be filled out in the counselling registration form.

WBJEE JELET Seat Allotment 2023

After the online registration, the candidates will be required to fill in the choice or preference of branch and college for JELET admission. After filling out the choice, the admission authority will declare the seat allotment result. WBJEE JELET seat allotment process will depend on candidates’ rank and seat availability.

• Candidates’ Rank: Candidates’ rank will be calculated based on the marks obtained in JELET by the university authority. The rank list will be published on the official website a few days after the declaration of results.
• JELET Seat Availability: While the time of counselling the authority will decide to give admission to the candidates based on the number of seats available in the university. If the seats of the selected course are fewer the authority will decide the seats to give to the candidates based on the top ranks secured.

WBJEE JELET Counselling Fee 2023

Candidates who are qualified for the JELET counselling process 2023 must register themselves for the counselling round by filling out the counselling registration form and paying the registration fee.

WBJEE JELET 2023 Document Verification

After JELET 2023 seat allotment is published, candidates must report to the college on the given date and time for admission. The candidates failing to report on the scheduled time and date may lead to getting their admission cancelled.

The candidates need to report to the allotted college along with the required documents both in original and self-attested photocopies. Without the verification of the document, the admission will not be confirmed.

• Diploma in Engineering/Tech/Pharmacy’s semester-wise/part-wise/year-wise mark sheets.

JELET Seat Matrix 2023

The total number of seats available in various categories for JELET 2023 counselling will be declared by the Director of Technical Education office. It will be published on the official website. The candidates can check the previous year’s seat matrix to get an idea. Although the seat matrix can vary every year, candidates need to keep in mind that the previous year's matrix is just to give them an idea of the number of seats filled last year.

Reservation of Seats in JELET 2023

With respect to the reservation of seats provided to the SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B/PwD, applicable Acts and the Rules of the Government of West Bengal/ of the concerned University prevailing at the time of JELET 2023 admission will be followed. 

• Only the candidates that are domiciled in the area of West Bengal can avail of this reservation. 
• A list of such reserved seats will be announced by the concerned counselling authority before the counselling process.
• The candidates claiming reserved seats must produce relevant documents/certificates issued by the competent authority.
• In case the certificate is found invalid the candidate may lose their opportunity to get admission in the reserved category.

• WBJEEB does not verify the information provided by the candidate during the online application. Admit cards are issued only based on the information provided by the candidate.
• All applicants who appear to be prima facie eligible will be issued admit cards and will be provisionally permitted to sit for the examination.
• All of the verifications are to be done during counselling, admission, registration with the university, etc.
• If at any stage after examination it is to be found on scrutiny that the applicant is otherwise ineligible, their candidature shall be treated as cancelled even if they appeared for the exam and secured a merit rank.
