GUJCET 2023 Score Normalization

GUJCET 2023 merit list is created based on candidates' scores in entrance and high school exams. In the assessment, 60% weightage is given to the candidate’s 10+2 result and the entrance exam result will carry 40% weightage.

The normalization of marks is done to ensure an impartial assessment of the performance of candidates in GUJCET 2023. The score of the candidates in the exam may differ depending upon the difficulty level of different sets. Score normalization is done to make sure that such factors do not impact the candidate's performance.

The final score for GUJCET is calculated using the following formula.

(60% of Class XII marks)+(40% GUJCET 2020 marks) = Final Score

GUJCET 2023 Tie-Breaker Criteria

The tie-breaking criteria followed in GUJCET when more than 1 candidate scores the same marks are as follows.

• Candidates who score higher in Physics and Mathematics are given preference.
• Candidates who score higher in Maths and Chemistry are given preference.
• If the tie is still not broken, sectional marks for all categories are compared. Based on the final score, candidates are shortlisted and the merit list is prepared.
