AP ECET 2023 counselling final phase seat allotment was announced on Aug 31, 2023, on the official website at ecet-sche.aptonline.in. They have to provide their login credentials to download the seat allotment result. Shortlisted candidates must report to the allotted colleges from Sep 1 - Sep 4, 2023.

The exam was held for diploma holders who are interested in applying for lateral entry into various UG Engineering, Pharmacy, and Science programs. Candidates who have passed this exam will be admitted to several governments and private universities in Andhra Pradesh.

AP ECET 2023 Counselling

AP ECET 2023 counselling schedule for the final phase was released on the official website at ecet-sche.aptonline.in. According to the schedule, the registration process was open from Aug 24 - Aug 26, 2023. In addition, the final phase's AP ECET counselling 2023 seat allotment result was declared on Aug 31, 2023. The self-reporting to the allotted institute is from Sep 1 - Sep 4, 2023.

The authorities will undertake the counselling process in an online format. A merit list will be prepared based on the rank obtained by the candidates in AP ECET 2023. Candidates scoring higher marks are placed higher on the merit list, whereas those scoring lower marks are at the bottom.

Once a student has been assigned to one of the participating colleges, they must report to that college within the specified time frame. Counselling is done based on the candidate's performance in AP ECET 2023 merit list.

About AP ECET Exam

AP ECET is a common entrance exam for diploma holders to get admission into professional courses like Engineering, Pharmacy, and M.Sc. The candidates who have completed their diploma and qualified in Andhra Pradesh Engineering Entrance Exam can get direct admission into the 2nd year of B.E, B.Tech, and B.Pharma programs via lateral entry mode, i.e., direct admission to the second year.

AP ECET is the most popular Engineering common entrance exam proposed by the Human Resource Development in Feb 2010 conducted in Andhra Pradesh. AP ECET 2023 Eligibility

AP ECET 2023 eligibility criteria are laid down by the exam conducting authorities. Candidates were required to meet the eligibility criteria prior to applying for the exam. Eligibility for candidates who are aspiring to apply for AP ECET 2023 are discussed below. AP ECET 2023 eligibility criteria varies for different courses. The officials will not consider the application if the candidate does not meet the eligibility criteria.

The eligibility criteria that the candidates have to fulfil for AP ECET 2023 have been listed below. 

Nationality and Domicile

A candidate who applies for AP ECET 2023 exam must be of Indian nationality. Candidates have to belong to the state of Andhra Pradesh and satisfy both the local or as well as non-local status requirements. A candidate is considered local if they studied in the state for four continuous academic years or they studied for seven years, or they have been residing in the state of Andhra Pradesh for four years.

A non-local candidate can get admission in the 15% reserved seats. Non-local candidates are those who resided in the state for 10 years, periods of study outside the state, or the candidates whose parents resided in the state for 10 years excluding employment outside the state or candidates' parents are employed in the State or Central Government, Public Sector Corporations, Local Bodies, Universities, and any other public institution within the states.

AP ECET 2023 Academic Qualifications

The candidates appearing for AP ECET 2023 exam are required to have a diploma in the following courses for admission to B.E/B.Tech and B.Pharma programs.

• B.E/B.Tech: For admission to B.E/B.Tech programs, the candidates should have obtained a diploma in Engineering and Technology or any other equivalent diploma from any AICTE approved, and Government of Andhra Pradesh Pradesh recognized institution or a 3-year B.Sc degree with Mathematics as one of the subjects from a recognized university.
• B.Pharma: For admission to the B.Pharma program, candidates should have obtained a diploma in Pharmacy or any other diploma from any AICTE approved, and Government of Andhra Pradesh recognized institutions as an equivalent for admission in B.Pharma. B.Sc degree holders are not eligible for admission to B.Pharma.

Note

• Candidates who are pursuing a diploma course are eligible to apply for the test given that they completed and passed all the diploma exams before the time of admission to the college.
• Candidates belonging to the unreserved category should have passed the relevant diploma with at least 45% marks. Whereas for the reserved category candidates, the minimum requirement is 40%. 

AP ECET 2023 Lateral Admission into B.E./B.Tech/B.Pharma Programs

The admission to 85% of the seats in each course is reserved for local candidates, and the remaining 15% is kept unreserved. Admission to B.Sc (Mathematics) degree holders is given only after completing all the qualified diploma holders.

AP ECET 2023 Age Limit

The candidate should be of the following age to apply for Andhra Pradesh ECET 2023.

• Minimum Age: 18 years
• Maximum Age: 22 years of age for the general category and 25 years of age for the reserved category.

AP ECET 2023 Application Form

The application form was made available online on Mar 10, 2023, and the last date to submit the form without a late fee was Apr 10, 2023. However, The last date to apply with a late fee of INR 5000 was May 1, 2023. It is also crucial for the candidates to go through the instructions prior to filling up the application form.

Steps to Apply for AP ECET 2023

Candidates can follow the steps below to fill out and submit the application forms for AP ECET 2023.

Step 1: Pay AP ECET 2023 Application Fee

The initial step for AP ECET 2023 application is the fee payment. To pay the application fee, applicants must enter the following details.

• Diploma/B.Sc Hall Ticket Number
• Candidate's Name
• Date of Birth (as per SSC/Equivalent)
• Mobile Number & Alternate Mobile Number
• Email ID
• Category
• Payment Options (Net Banking/Debit Card/Credit Card).

Step 2: Check Application Fee Payment

The next step is to check the application fee payment status. Candidates can check their payment status by entering the required credentials such as the Diploma/B.Sc Hall Ticket Number and Mobile Number. After entering the credentials, click on the 'Check Payment Status' button. If the status is positive, proceed with further steps. If not, contact the exam conducting body.

Step 3: Filling of AP ECET 2023 Application Form

After completing the application fee payment, candidates can access the application form by entering the required credentials such as follows.

• Diploma/B.Sc. Hall Ticket Number
• Mobile Number
• Date of Birth.

Once the above details are entered, click on the 'Proceed to Fill Application' button and get access to the application form. Enter all the required details on the application form and follow the directions as mentioned on the page.

Step 4: Take Printout of Application Form

The final step is to take printout of the application form after submitting the application form. Candidates must enter the required credentials to access the application details and print the application form.

AP ECET 2023 Application Correction 

AP ECET 2023 application form correction window was open from Apr 20 - Apr 22, 2023. Applicants were able to edit their application form through this facility. Certain details on the application form could be changed by the candidates, but they could send an email addressed to the Convener of AP ECET 2023.

The candidates had to mention their payment ID, qualifying exam hall ticket number, mobile number, date of birth and SSC hall ticket number in the email that they were sent to the respective authority.

AP ECET 2023 Application Fee

The application fee differs for all the candidates applying for AP ECET 2023. Along with the application fee, candidates had to pay the processing fee. The payment can be made using net banking/credit card/debit card. The candidates could also pay the application form fee by cash at any AP Online/ Online centres.

Candidates had to pay a late fee of INR 500, INR 2000, and INR 5000, on the respective last dates, if they failed to submit the application form before the last date to submit without late fee.

AP ECET 2023 admit card was released on the official website on Jun 12, 2023. Candidates who have successfully registered for the exam can download their admit card from the official website. AP ECET 2023 admit card provides crucial candidate information and important exam instructions.

AP ECET 2023 Tie-Breaking Criteria

In case of a tie among one or more candidates (in regards to merit list) the following methodology is followed.

• One with the higher marks in Mathematics will be placed higher.
• If the tie persists, then the marks of Physics and Chemistry will be compared.
• In case the tie is still not resolved, the one who is elder will be given priority.
• To settle the case, if the tie persists even after considering the above 3 parameters, the candidates will be awarded the rank.
