B.Sc in Forestry is a four-year undergraduate program consisting of eight semesters which deals with training the students with practical knowledge of healthy growth and maintenance of forested land, woodlands and parks. In this course, the aspirant has various jobs to work on like wildlife protection, water conservation and consultant.

About B.Sc Forestry Course 

According to Oxford Languages, "Forestry is the science or practise of planting, managing, and caring for forests.".

Eligibility Criteria for B.Sc Forestry

For admission into B.Sc Forestry must have a minimum of 50% in the 10+2 or equivalent examination from any recognized board or school to be eligible to apply. The aspirant must also have physics, chemistry and either maths or biology as his subjects in class 12. The required marks may vary from university to university, and it would be ideal for the student to check the minimum marks required for the respective college. Some colleges consider the criteria of securing 50% in 10+2 for entrance examination too.

The admissions process for the B.Sc Forestry course can be done in two distinct ways. The aspirant can directly apply to the university or college based on the marks secured in 10+2. Some universities and states conduct their entrance examination; aspirants have to appear for this entrance examination to apply to such universities.

The course falls under the umbrella of B.Sc and henceforth has a similar admission process.

Merit-Based Admission: Aspirants need to fill the application form accurately of the respective university, which is available online, and provide the necessary documentary proof. Once this is done, the university will release the list of students who have been allotted seats in multiple rounds.

Entrance Examination Based Admission: Universities or Agencies conducting the entrance exams release their merit list, ranking the eligible students based on their scores. Few colleges conduct PI and GD rounds, after which students are shortlisted based on the cutoff of the respective college.

Aspirants must visit the official portal of the respective college and fill in the required details such as their name, contact details, email, score of the qualifying exam and attach the required documents. For offline registration, the college needs to visit to fill the application form and submit the necessary documents.
