About Kerala Agricultural University

The Kerala Agricultural University is located in Thrissur Kerala and is affiliated to the Indian Council of Agricultural Research. The University specializes in courses that train students for the agricultural sector and helps them to nurture their abilities as an environmentalist. The University was established in 1971 and has been steadily moving towards excellence in the field of environment and agriculture

Eligibility to seek admission in Kerala Agricultural University

  • All students who have secured above 50% in their higher secondary/undergraduate (aggregate) examination are eligible to write the examination conducted by the University.
  • The students must qualify in the Common entrance examination by the University

Admission Procedure for Kerala Agricultural University

  • Students are admitted to the Under Graduate courses of the university on the basis of the ranks obtained in the common entrance examination conducted by the the Commissionarate of Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala
  • Application forms for UG courses other than BSc (C&B) can be obtained from institutions listed in the Government Notification regarding Common Entrance Examination, issued from time to time.
  • For the PG courses except Ph.D., selections are made by the committee constituted by the University on the basis of written test and interview. Ph. D. admissions are on the basis of interview.

To provide quality learning and research in the field of climate change adaptation and mitigation, Kerala Agricultural University has MoU with CUSAT, ICRISAT, KFRI, KVASU and the University of Western Australia, some of the prominent institutes at the national and the international level. The college maintains a Class B Agro met Observatory to record various weather parameters, an Automatic Weather Station established by the Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) to have a deeper understanding of the environment and present weather patterns. The educational system followed in the college enables the students to achieve academic success as well as develop interpersonal skills. All students in the first batch had been placed in different institutes and university itself and some have gone for their P.hd works.

Fees and Scholarship

Course fee in Kerala Agricultural University is 50,000 per semester. Loans are provided by banks like SBT, SBI etc. Scholorship option are not available <
