Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur was established in the year 1906. It is one of the oldest and prominent colleges in Uttar Pradesh. The college is well known for its quality of curriculum and research. It offers quality education in the field of Agriculture, Science, and Engineering. Chandra Shekhar Azad University of Agriculture and Technology Admissions are based on past academic merit and scores in qualifying examinations.

The university is recognized today as the premier institution of agricultural research and education in India and it was created with the merger of its 2 constituent colleges, "The erstwhile Government Agriculture College", Kanpur & "U.P. College of Veterinary Science & Animal Husbandry, Mathura". Presently, there are 8 colleges in the university. The university caters to the needs of the farming community spread over 29 districts of 6 divisions of Uttar Pradesh.
