Jawaharlal Nehru Krishi Vishwa Vidyalaya, [JNKVV] Jabalpur was established in 1964 and it is a multi-campus agricultural University. It was established to narrow down the gap between the experts and farmers. The University works with a mission of providing education and research for enhancing productivity, profitability, and sustainability of the agricultural production system and quality of rural livelihood. 

JNKVV Jabalpur Admissions are offered to both Indian and Non-Resident Indian students who fulfill the prescribed minimum admission requirement and other conditions laid down by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, Department of Agriculture, and the University. 

JNKVV is actively involved in research projects. It has achieved several milestones in Crop Improvement, Quality Seed production, Production & Management Techniques. The University has developed varieties of crops like wheat, millet, soybeans, gram, linseed, etc. The University also holds patents in agricultural devices. JNKVV also extends the Product Testing facility for the corporate sector.

JNKVV regularly conducts seminars and training for students with Agriculture/ Biotechnology/ Microbiology/ Genetic Engineering academic background. Recently, the Agri-Design Innovation Centre of the Institute conducted a three- month Certificate Course on Basic Biotechnology in Agriculture at Biotechnology Centre, JNKVV, Jabalpur. • The JNKVV Admissions to Degree courses offered by the University is through the entrance test conducted by the Professional Examination Board, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh [Vyapam, Bhopal]. 
• Admissions to masters degree programs and Ph.D. programs of JNKVV is through an Online Joint Entrance Examination conducted by MP Online Limited, Bhopal. 
• The minimum qualifying score in the entrance examination will be 40% for Unreserved and OBC categories, and 30% for SC and ST category students. 
• The application form for the entrance examination is available on the college website.
• Seats will be allocated based on online off-campus counseling.
• An online deposit of INR 5000 should be made as an advance fee during counseling.
• An online allotment letter will be sent to selected students

• The college provides separate hostels for both boys and girls with various facilities.
