Arunachal Pradesh Scholarships

The State government provides different kinds of scholarships to the state's inhabitants. The Arunachal Pradesh scholarships are provided to students pursuing graduate and postgraduate programmes in any respective fields and aim to reward students with financial difficulties. The government of India also provides the North Eastern Council (NEC) scholarships to the students pursuing higher professional studies in the North-Eastern region, which includes Arunachal Pradesh. Candidates applying for the scheme for an award should submit the online forms within the Arunachal Pradesh scholarship last date.

List of Arunachal Pradesh Scholarships

The state government provides different kinds of scholarships to the state's inhabitants. The Arunachal Pradesh scholarships are provided to students pursuing graduate and postgraduate programmes in any respective fields and aim to reward students with financial difficulties. The list of Arunachal Pradesh scholarships are mentioned below:

Umbrella Scheme for Education of ST Category

The government of Arunachal Pradesh provides the Umbrella schemes to the students who are permanent residents of the state belonging to a Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. The Umbrella scholarships are available for students in the pre-matric and post-matric levels. For the pre-matric Arunachal Pradesh scholarship eligibility, the students should pursue classes IX or X in a government or school affiliated with the central/state board.  

The candidate's family income should not exceed INR 2,00,000 per annum for pre-matric and INR 2,50,000 for post-matric. The post-matric students should study class 11 or above to be eligible for this Arunachal Pradesh scholarship scheme. They should also not be receiving any assistance from the central government to avail the specified scholarship.

NEC Scholarship

The NEC scholarship provides financial aid to students in North-Eastern regions, including Arunachal Pradesh. Students pursuing diploma/ degree/ postgraduate/ MPhil/ PhD can apply for the NEC Arunachal Pradesh scholarship. The candidates should be permanent residents of Arunachal Pradesh, and their annual family income should not exceed INR 8,00,000 to be eligible for applying. In addition, the candidate should secure a minimum of 60% in their respective courses to fulfil the required criteria.

Focus Area Science Technology Summer Fellowship

The National Science Academics provide focus area science technology summer fellowship to UG and PG students. Students who have secured a minimum score of 65% or above from class X to post-graduation can apply for this fellowship. However, the minimum percentage of marks does not apply to the teachers. Teachers from any university or college recognised by the central regulators are eligible. The government rewards the selected candidates with a monthly stipend and train fare.

APST Medical and Paramedical Stipend 

The APST medical and paramedical stipend is one of the popular Arunachal Pradesh schemes organised by the Directorate Of Higher & Technical Education (DHTE). The government provides the Arunachal Pradesh scholarship for students pursuing their UG or PG courses. Students should study in institutions recognised by UGC, AICTE, MCI, DCI, BCI, CCH to avail the benefits of this scholarship. The selected candidates will receive an Arunachal Pradesh scholarship amount of INR 10,000. The continuity of the scholarship rewards depends on the candidate's performance.

Scheme for Award of Stipends to ST Category

The scheme for awarding stipends under the Arunachal Pradesh scholarship is for students who are domiciles of the state and belong to the Scheduled Tribe (ST) category. Students who have scored >60% in their 12th or any last certified examination can apply. Additionally, those pursuing graduate or postgraduate programmes are eligible for this Arunachal Pradesh scholarship. The government will grant the selected students a monthly stipend of INR 1,400 and an annual book grant of INR 1,000.

Step 1 - The applicants should visit the official INSA portal.

Step 2 - After visiting the official website, the candidates should complete the registration process.

Step 3 - Upon successful registration, they can select the subject's category, subject and sub-area.

Step 4 - After filling the desired category, the candidates can upload the documents needed.

Step 5 - After uploading the valid documents, they can successfully submit the Arunachal Pradesh scholarship application form.

Candidates residing in AP can apply online to the state schemes by visiting the national scholarship portal Arunachal Pradesh. They should first register to obtain the Arunachal Pradesh scholarship login details. After obtaining the credentials, they can log into the portal, fill in the application form and upload the valid documents.

Before submitting the Arunachal Pradesh scholarship online form, the candidates should verify whether the information provided is valid or not. Then, they can start by registering their information on the portal and submitting the required documents.
