Full form of PMET is Punjab Medical Entrance Test. PMET is a state level entrance test conducted by the Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Faridkot. It stands out amongst the most prominent Medical Entrance Examinations conducted in the state of Punjab. This entrance test is held to provide admission to various UG courses like MBBS, BDS, BAMS, and BHMS. Baba Farid University has the official authority for conducting the Punjab PMET 2019 examination every year.
Admission: The Punjab PMET examination offers admission to a few undergraduate therapeutic courses to the medicinal schools in Punjab that are partnered with this university.
Exam level: Punjab PMET is a state level medical entrance exam conducted once a year by the university.
Enrollment: Every year, around 920 MBBS and 1070 BDS seats are available for the aspirants across Punjab.

Aspirants seeking admission in UG medical and dental courses have to meet prescribed Punjab MBBS 2019 eligibility criteria. The key Eligibility Criteria of Punjab MBBS 2019 is that candidates have to meet the age limit, domicile, and academic requirements as explained below:
Nationality: Only Indian nationals can apply.
Domicile: Also, the candidate must be a bonafide resident of Punjab. However, the following candidates can also apply:
Candidates who are sons and daughters of the late employee of Punjab Government/Central Government/All India Services.
Children of late employees of military/ex-military/ paramilitary forces, born in the territory of Punjab.
Children of defense personnel posted in Punjab.
Minority and NRI candidates may also apply
Age Limit: The candidate must have a minimum of 17 years of age as on December 31, 2019. The case of upper age limit is pending in the Supreme Court, it will be updated shortly after the announcement from the supreme court.
Qualifying Exam: The candidate must have passed 10+2 exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English, having passed each of these subjects individually, the candidate also needs to score at least 50% aggregate marks in PCB (or PC-Biotechnology) combination, PwD candidates need to have 45% marks, while reserved category hopefuls need only 40% marks.
The Syllabus of Punjab PMET 2019 is divided into 4 sections consisting of 50 questions. The Punjab exam subjects will comprise of questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology of class 10th and class 12th.
Punjab PMET test will be taken in online mode and the question paper will be in Hindi and English as per candidates' preference.
Marking Scheme: There will +4 awarded for each correct answer and -1 will be deducted for an incorrect answer.
The application form of Punjab MBBS 2019 has been discharged on June 19, in online mode. Qualified hopefuls can fill and present the Punjab MBBS 2019 application form before June 25. The PMET 2019 Application Form filling procedure incorporates steps like enrollment, documents upload and application fee payment.
Registration: The candidate needs to initially get enrolled by entering the portable number and email id, name, NEET roll number, and AIR, among different details. Upon effective enrollment, enlistment number and password will be created.
Application Fee: The fee can be paid online through net banking. Likewise, challan payment is also acceptable, for which the hopeful needs to initially download and take the printout of the Bank e-challan.

Punjab PMET Admit Card will be acting as hall ticket for the test and will have to be taken for the test. Print out of the admit card must be taken for it will be used in the future process. The hall ticket will facilitate the candidate's entry into the examination hall provided it is presented with any other valid Govt. ID Proof of the candidate. Candidates can also find the Google map link on their admit card to locate their PMET 2019 Exam Centre.

Baba Farid University of Health Sciences will discharge the merit list of Punjab MBBS 2019 independently for various classifications on July 1, including for NRI classification. Punjab MBBS 2019 merit list will be prepared based on NEET 2019 scores, so just those hopefuls who qualify in the national-level test will be incorporated into the list. Likewise, hopefuls whose names show up in the merit list can only attend the counseling.
PMET 2019 will announce the result by the 4th week of July along with scorecard and PMET 2019 Results. Candidates will able to check their results by entering their application no. and their date of birth. Merit list will be created after the result is announced.
The first round of Punjab MBBS 2019 Counseling will be directed in online mode. The second round will be a physical round, which means applicants must be physically present for PMET Counselling. If there are any empty seats left after two rounds, a mop-up round may likewise be held.
Punjab MBBS 2019 informed to candidates that the procedure is available to just those applicants who were included in the merit list. 25% of the total seats are reserved for SC candidates, 5% are reserved for backward category students, and 2% for border area students.
