  • Duration: For MD/ MS - 3 Hours and For MDS - 1 Hour 30 Minutes

  • Marks: 

    • For Multiple Choice Questions, out of four candidates should mark only one option as the answer. 

    • The marking scheme involves negative marking where every correct answer will add one mark and an incorrect answer will deduct 1/3rd marks from the total.

    • No marks will be allotted or deducted for unanswered questions.

  • Medium: The question will be in English medium.

Exam pattern for AIIMS PG(MD/MS and MDS)

For MD/MS:
Duration: 3 Hours (180 minutes)
Number of Questions: 200 Objective based multiple choice questions
Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response
Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect response
Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus for MBBS programme
For MDS:
Duration: 1 hours 30 minutes (90 minutes)
No. of questions: 90 Objective based multiple choice questions
Marking Scheme: 1 marks for each correct response
Negative Marking: 1/3rd of the marks will be deducted for each incorrect response
Syllabus: Exam will be based on the syllabus taught during BDS
